helinues:funny thing about statistics like this is that if we have 100 Edo speakers and 80 of them can read, that's 80% while having 1million who speaks Yoruba and 750,000 can read, that's 75%...it doesn't tell the true story. |

Does everything in Nigeria need to be divided along Ethnic Or Tribal lines? This lack of homogeneity (One Nigeria) is one of the main reasons this country will not progress. |

The ill-informed ones without cultural norms and values.. the ones with lack of rules of engagement.. na wa o |

Fulanis won't agree to this stats they will claim that as long as their children can read and write arabic they can be regarded as having reading ability. |

Which Fulani can read and write Arabic? Those nomadic children get time? FYI, ability to read and write Arabic is counted as literacy. Go and check the literacy rate in the North once again Mrexcell: |

colossus91:You are not correct. You are making an assumption. I can tell you I know so many standard schools in Owerri that can compete with any school in Nigeria as at today |

Bossman: Arostar2023:for Nigeria to be well run, every tribe has to invest in their states of origin. Nigeria cannot progress equally, some ethnic nations will be more advanced than others because their own people re-invest into their ethnic nations within Nigeria. Nigeria cannot progress until all ethnic nations within Nigeria develop their own ethnic territory. |

banom:because in 1966 certain SE soldiers and leaders who had zero knowledge of economics could not forecast the oil boom that awaited the SE region and due to their superiority complex and mindset to always dominate non-SE people they ignorantly chose to destroy the regionalism that would have made every SE person filthy rich and start a civil war.. Biafla was a war used by wyte people to impoverish the SE region and turn SE people eyes away from the oil. it is crude oil that controls the country... |

| Re: The Most Educated Children In Nigeria By Ethnicity - StatiSense by EhisChelsea1(m): 8:47pm On Jul 03 |
Macphenson:Well, it depends on the level you are referring to. I can't talk about their primary or secondary education but when it comes to university education, forget it, what you have in the south east is highly substandard and below par when compared with other regions. I have had the privilege of schooling in AAU (Edo), OAU (Osun) UI (Oyo) and UNN (Enugu) ----so I can speak authoritatively on this to a large extent Give me a PhD holder from UNN and a Masters degree holder from UI, I will take the UI person first.... Be sure you have experienced both worlds before you argue this. |
