For all the accolades people have been giving Cape Verde for their spirited display in this Argentina match, they forget one simple thing : Cape Verde didn't win against any of their opponents, they played draw all through.

It looks as if their coach trained them to always target draws. They didn't win even against Saudi Arabia that was there for their taking. I strongly believe they won't survive that Senegal's group Sha.

The point is they may not even qualify to face Belgium like Senegal did. Remember Senegal lost against Norway and France before beating Iraq.

Cape Verde will most likely lost against France and Norway and draw against Iraq which would've seen them out of the competition at the group stage anyways.

PS: I'm responding to Ur post about whether Cape Verde will fair better if they switch places with teams like Senegal and DRC.

I agree with this. I watched all their matches, and one thing I noticed, they are very solid defensively, but they rarely take the initiative going forward.
They only seem to attack with real intent when they're behind. That's why some of us said they showed too much respect to their opponents , Whenever the score was level, they were content to sit back instead of pushing for a winner. It was only after conceding that they became adventurous and started creating chances to equalise.
I think that's the area their coach needs to work on.
