The debate over the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu’s comments on akara and kulikuli businesses has found its way into a university examination, as a question in a Second Semester 2025/2026 paper at the Prince Abubakar Audu University, Kogi State, tasked students with producing an advocacy advertisement copy around the theme.

The examination question, sighted by our correspondent after it was shared on Facebook by a page identified as Northern Nigeria on Saturday, was set for students of the Department of Mass Communication, Faculty of Communication and Media Studies, sitting the Advertising Copy Writing (MCM 214) paper.

Question one of the paper read in part, “The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has asked you to do an advocacy ad copy with the title, Beyond Akara and Kulikuli Empowerment, with the sole aim of encouraging Nigerian women and youths to embrace small-scale businesses.”

Students were then required to identify four factors to consider in writing the copy, mention three body copy styles, justify the most suitable style for the ad, and sketch the copy with images and text, altogether worth 30 marks out of the total obtainable in the section.

7. 300% Salary Increase For The Judges Which Was Speedily Passed By The Insensitive And Irresponsible Senators. The law has been bought.

8. 5 Billion Naira Was Budgeted For Presidential Fleet Of Cars For President Bola Ahmad Tinubu. I mean for someone who already has over 40 cars following him already.

9. 5 Billion equally budgeted for Presidential Yatch. The commonwealth is now a personal wealth.

10. 225 Billion naira spent on so-called Presidential Jet Festus Keyamo compensated.

11. 90 Billion naira spent on 2024 Hajj pilgrimage . Religion is a personal business. This is extravagant and irrelevant.

12. Billions of Naira Was Budgeted For Trips Including The Vice President Kashim Shettima To The Detriment Of The Citizens

13. Every Senator Is Paid 21 Million Naira Monthly

14. House Of Representatives Are Earning 13.5 Million Monthly All The Increment Was Done By Tinubu's Government

Nigerians can easily get distracted like toddlers.

The president and his goons successfully distracted the jobless masses for a whole week
from other critical matters in the country that should attract our attention.

Now people are making memes and A.i edited photos to throw banter and mockery on the first lady and Tinubu on every social media space, not knowing it was Tinubu and his cronies game plan ever since.

Tinubu even openly mock those dissing his wife by adding more pepper and maggi.

Tinubu or Remi, or VDM, Kenneth Okonkwo, Sowore, Reno Omokri, Daniel Bwala, Peller, Portable etc will say or do something crazy and we will get more distracted again hopefully next week.

I don't see anything wrong in what the first lady said. She was encouraging the poorest of the poor to take advantage of small scale businesses like akara, corn and kulikuli to make ends meet.

As a matter of fact, I know a lady in my street who sells corn. She has a very high patronage from people within the neighbourhood and I'm sure she makes a lot of profit every day.
