I walked into an access bank branch in benin to withdraw money from my savings account today,filled my form and met a teller.the teller after checking the account for few mins asked me to go see the customer care attendant that I can't withdraw from my account.i met the customer care attendant,he asked me to thumbprint.which I did,then he directed me to another attendant who is to capture me.
Before capturing the new attendant asked me several questions which includes my name and the branch I opened the account which replied.,he said the account isn't mine,and the pictures up there isn't mine.i asked to see what was up there, to my surprise it was someone else,a strange picture and name using my account but a different bvn.instead of access bank accepting they made a mistake the stupid workers there asked me to go back to the branch I opened an account since over ten years to go rectify the issue.it was then I got really pissed at them the branch manager and one other woman insulted me in the process and I retaliated.how careless can a bank be? because I returned their insult the manager said they won't help me.i angrily left the bank without my money.
Ignore my mistake as I am still tensed at the moment.is it possible for and account to have different persons as owner?if I didn't have my bvn I would have been tagged a criminal.it was my bvn that was different from the other person.what do I do please.

This was clearly a mistake from the processor while onboarding you. A wrong mandate was captured.

I've noticed access bank can be a very useless bank, reason I dumped their sorry ass.

Do a detailed mail to the customer care email of the Bank. From their customer care email on the website, write directly to the banks headquaters explaining these in details, reporting the particular branch where this incident takes place today , mentioning also the attitude of the branch manager, the headquaters will querry him and the will look into the matter urgently. It happened to me in Abj, but my case was with my ATM and the particular branch did not handle it well, i had to do a mail to the Bank customer care and they querried the branch, before then, the headquaters acknowleged my mail and promised to look into it, then i was surprised after 2 days of that mail, the same branch that didnt handle it well strated calling me, i was the one that now gave them when i will cum and when i finally cum, that case i had gone to the bank for over 6 months was resloved under 30 minutes with abg ;DNot Access Bank though. Most times those branch managers can be very careless.

I also use Access bank they are very careless ad heartless. There was a time they blocked my account for a similar issue as yours

No bank manager will insult a bank customer, if he or she does that he could likely loose his job if it turns out that the person he insulted is a bank inspector playing the role of a mystery customer

You are most likely the one who first insulted them and they probably shot back to defend themselves.

i had to go to the branch I opened the account with passport and electricity bill they rectified it themselves because the mistake was from them.
