Kindly emphasize on that here.

In saner countries, a form of compensation would be granted you in form of loans but this country is trying to kill it's citizens instead.

The number 1 thing to do is taking responsibility for your actions.
Many people sit around blaming others when they fall into misfortunes.
I took my time to search out the areas where I faulted, Again and even the areas where I wasn't completely at fault, I still had a role to play, so I took responsibilities.

2. I accepted my reality, I accepted the fact that I was down.
Many people especially we Nigerians want to spiritualize everything. Nothing wrong with words of affirmation, but what is your current reality?
A man who doesn't accept that he is down is not ready to go up. As long as you are poor and you keep telling yourself that you are not simply because your pastor said so, then poverty has built a 6 Bedroom duplex in your life. Accept your reality.
Call your trusted friends, tell them your reality, some people will mock you, some will push you to tears, you will face disappointments from people you had helped.

3. I went back to my drawing board, spent time on my blue print.
Every detail was treated as a project.
I called everyone I knew who has had the same experience.

5. While at thing, I did anything that came my way that would bring income, thank God for the gift of friends. I went as far as delivering cars for a car dealer friend, People come to Lagos to buy cars, he will convince them to use his driver.

6. Wh n I was ready to kick off again, I called my friends together and we had a 5 hour meeting, that meeting took place at SkyMall in Sangotedo, it was a fastfood.
I received help, some made calls for me, some assisted financially. A friend gave me a car(I had sold all my cars),.
I had sent out my plan to each person a week before the meeting, I needed their input, I got exactly what I needed.

It was tough and rough,
I contemplated suicide at some point.

Few years down the line, I lost N300million, but then I had better experience in investment and handling crises. The plan B made almost double the loss.

If you are going to put all your eggs in one basket, watch the basket like a hawk

If you are going to put your eggs in multiple baskets, watch all the baskets like a hawk

To add: You have no business trying to rise if you can't identify and fix the problem that brought you down

Now you see this is always the problem with the average Nigerian.
You all like status quo

You are aware of the new policies.
What measures have you taken to reduce the impact on your business?
It's almost 4 years now, you have no business complaining by now. The first one year is enough time to return to your drawing board.
I was speaking with one of my boys a few days ago and he complained about the same thing, but he hasn't done anything to his business. You have increased price but you didn't add value, you are buying whole sales to retail, while you closest competition is a local producer. I told him, you need to add value, you can't continue selling in black nylons, you can't continue selling your palm oil in Eva bottles. Add value, print your bags. Package your oil. Package your crayfish. Add value, then you can increase price.
And people will pay for value.
You are doing business and you have only one account, you call POS when your bank has issues. It doesn't cost anything to open business accounts with Fintech companies.
It doesn't cost anything for you to have business card.
It doesn't cost anything for you and your staff to wear brander T.shirts.
These little things make a whole lot of difference

No sane country will compensate you if your business location has no documentation.
I live in the UK it never happens. Most of you who make noise about saner countries have never left Nigeria.

In the UK the government will demolish it and you will be made to pay for the demolition, yes you will pay the company that carried out the demolition.

I checked again to see if he mentioned anything about documentation in case i missed it but he didn't.

So perhaps he should clarify on that before we assume

And yes breaking the law deserves punishment everywhere.

Simple, retrace the steps that got you there.
Repeat what you did initially.
