Fifteen worshippers who were abducted from a church during a night vigil on April 28, 2026, in Eda Oniyo, Ilejemeje Local Government Area, Ekiti State, have regained their freedom after more than 67 days in captivity.

The victims were reportedly released in the early hours of Saturday and were later taken to the State Teaching Hospital in the afternoon for medical attention.

To God be the glory, at least they came back alive. But recruiting the so-called repentant terrorists into the Nigerian Military should be seen as crime against humanity. Every Governor or politician who does it or supports it is an enemy of the state. They are the ones sabotaging the war against terrorism in Nigeria and should be properly investigated.

I THINK IT IS TIME FOR FULANI LEADERS TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE TERRORISM IN NIGERIA.
IF YOU SEE THE WAY THEY ATTACK PST EZEKIEL DACHOMO IN THEIR SOCIAL MEDIA GROUPS, YOU WILL UNDERSTAND THAT WHAT IS HAPPENING IS NOT A MISTAKE BUT A WELL PLANNED AGENDA TO WIPE OUT THE INDIGENOUS PEOPLE OF NIGERIA AND REPLACE THEM WITH FULANIS

So nobody was arrested. How do we discourage future kidnappers.

Paying of ransom will only encourage more people in kidnapping business

The wickedness of Nigerian politicians is out of this world. It'd going to be business as usual.

We used to see this sort of thing in Borno, Katsina etc few years ago.

Now it has entered Ekiti State. . And the amazing thing is that these kidnappers do open prayers 5 times daily infront of people.

And Ayodele Fayose was blaming governor Makinde meanwhile his state was even faced with similar situation or worse. APC , Yorubas that support Tinubu government the same people that praised Buhari that he was handling the economy and security well then that later turned around to say the mess we are as a country was done by Buhari regime and the Muslim North are the problem of this country call Nigeria.

Yorubas supporters of Tinubu were all over the place castigating governor Seyi Makinde that he’s responsible for Oyo incident and should be blamed as chief security officer, but kept mute in Ekiti, Kwara and other state ruled by APC that insecurity have been ravaging.

No arrest would be made as the kidnapping business is a big business in Nigeria today.

The country and its leaders failed them due to poor handling of insecurity and failed leadership. For those who care to know, never embark on journey that is inconsequential and unimportant as you may not have second chance if youre kidnapped by these monsters. And for members who are gullible and always attend unnecessary night vigils announced by their pastors, you better use your sense and sit your arse down. When it happens, your pastor will not be able to save you.

Once they are released they should be taken to hospital not to their homes as they have been in captive for over 2 months and need medical attention and care.

I had expect the police to say they rescued them. Yorubaland has been infiltrated by bandits from the North and their leaders are still scratching their heads on what to do.

The Pastor are even insensitive for asking them to come for vigil

The real enemies of Nigerians are those that proposed the reintegration of criminals back to the society.

I am surprised you are writing this, you think it the northern that are attacking you, have you forgotten that people up north are being kidnapped and in many cases slaughtered like animals. The media would never report what the masses needs to know as some Nigeria media houses or even tabloid have taken sides.

Point of correction, governors are not in charge of the military, Tinubu is the one recruiting them, he is the commander in chief of armed forces..

The governors have no power to do that, so channel your blame to the right person...

Thank God for their return, see how malnourished they are looking, and what happened to the kidnappers?

No info? looks like ransom payment...
