That's not what we are saying. Since day one of this world cup, I have been watching world cup matches without one single day of break for every team as a whole. That's what we are talking about. Before, there would have been 3 to 4 days of no-world cup games at all.

Good observation. Ma'am but this is football...and not politics where people are "selected" ( like in some parts of Africa) or Elected fairly based on Competence if they're looking for who to get the job done and not based on Geopolitical diversity and equity.
Having said that, Canada's national soccer squad is not built around specific geographic or ethnic demographics, but rather through a merit-based selection of top talent globally. The squad list primarily reflects the country’s diverse, multicultural immigration landscape and dual nationals rather than historical representation from individual First Nation communities.
When matches held in Vancouver, they were represented in the other worldcup related events even if they don't have a name/face in this squad
By the way I am Canadian as well( I hold a dual nationality).....trust this helps your observation a bit
