Chief Malukwuoo Egbuonu is the foundational anchor of the Cemaluk lineage. He is remembered as a towering figure of justice, honesty, and honor in Ojoto.

* A Foundation of Absolute Truth: Born in 1933, Chief Malukwuoo lived as one of the most upfront and truthful sons of the soil. Until his untimely passing in 1974 at age 39, he stood firmly against compromise. Honesty and integrity were the primary laws of his household.

* Devout Christian Stewardship: A dedicated Catholic matriarch. Trusted Zonal Treasurer for decades, managing responsibilities with impeccable financial integrity.
* Leadership in Faith: Through the Catholic Women Organization (CWO), she mentored others, kept the peace, and drove community growth through Christian fellowship.
* Traditional Healer: Sole producer and dispenser of "Johnu Tisane" - coffee leaf decoction formula inherited from her father, John Ugbo. Now subject of pharmacological research.
* The Exemplary Mother: A strong, disciplined anchor who raised her children in the fear of God, instilling the structural discipline and grace that defines the Cemaluk name today.

* The Married Daughters: The daughters have transitioned, as is custom, to build and mind the families and compounds of their respective husbands.
* The Sole Custodian: Left to carry the family mantle after his father's early passing, the weight and honor of the Cemaluk name rests with the first/surviving son. As architect of the modern Cemaluk identity, he stands as pillar of the compound, committed to elevating the family name through art, intellect, and strength.

For clarity and for the record:

The Cemaluk compound and heritage is in OJOTO, Idemili South LGA, Anambra State.
That is home.

The mention of Eziowelle in the biography and in "Life Alive Encomium" refers to service, not origin.

My mother, Mrs. Cecilia Ekwubisionu Egbuonu - Ebube Agbala, Ugogbuzuo - was appointed a core delegate from Ojoto.
Post-1976, during the celebration for the ordination of Cardinal Francis Arinze as Archbishop, women slept over in our Ojoto house for days of grand cooking.
My mother led and took the whole food to Eziowelle, Cardinal’s home town, in service to the Church.
In that sacrifice we lost our big Murtala pan with General Murtala’s picture on it.

I was a child and I witnessed it. That is why it was peened into the poem - to register her sacrifice to the Church.

Ojoto remains the root. Eziowelle remains the mission.

ECHOES OF ETERNAL TRINITY

Papa taught me that names carry spirit.
Today I see it in 3 generations of Nwoye.

This world, indeed—
is it not replete with the recurring comings and goings?

Look at this one with me:
my father, my brother, my son—Edwin.

In all he was, and even now,
Nwoye Malukwuo, Nnam (my dear daddy),
Edwin Nwoye Chekwubechi, Nwannem (my dear brother),

And now, Edwin Nwoye Obasiakasie Obinna, Nwam (my dear son).

What a Trinity-like mystery—
father, brother, son—
one unquenchable, recycling spirit,
eternal soul.

1933 - 2026. The Cemaluk Legacy lives.
The name repeats. The honor repeats. The spirit no dey die.

answering "Malukwuo".

here and in my writings/poetry is:
CHIEF EZEMALUKWUO NWOYE EGBUONU
OF IREH VILLAGE, OJOTO.

He was a resilient and principle-driven leader who
dominated the title in Ojoto in his time.
