After Messi retires, that's when we'd see that Pendulums don't really like Mbappe.

Deep down, they know that at the rate he's going, he will likely surpass Pendu before he can get near the GOAT himself. And that's their greatest fear.

I highly doubt that. He will have to go crazy in numbers, trophies and Balon D'or awards in the next 5 to 10yrs to enter that convo.

Messi and Ronaldo has had inhuman careers by all standards and has maintained top level consistency for about 2 decades. Imagine Messi still draggingttop scorer at this age with prime Mbappe and Haaland.

Mbappe will have a World Cup legacy but he'll need to hit another gear in club football to enter goat levels of convo.

Bro don't bet against that happening.

I don't like Mbappe at all but he only needs like 3 ballon dors plus a couple of UCLs to be rated past Pendu because his World Cup credit is very heavy.

And his current scoring rate will likely land him within the 800 - 1000 goals range if he plays up till like 38 years.

So looks like he will eventually check all the boxes for Goat debates. And Ogunmepon will be the casualty of that.
