With this video now some us will conclude that having it installed in our homes will give similar experience. There are risk/disasters loading in every homes apart from18650 lithium ion cells.

We all still engaged in these despite the negative outcome:
1.Car fire / accidents
2. Pop crashing
3. Boat demise
4. Gas cylinder in kitchen/rooms
5. Electrocution
6. Phcn cable dropping on heads

Do not let the above prevent you from using lithium ion cells . A poor builder will make you hate lithium ion cells. If you cannot handle lithium ion cells PLEASE AVOID IT COMPLETELY.

The user in the above video will preach against all lithium ion cells henceforth. Overcharging and short circuit are 2 major culprit here. IF YOU CANNOT HANDLE 18650 RUN AWAY PLEASE and embrace LIFEPO4.

In all my builds I don't get close to Li ion batteries not because I cannot handle them but I always picture the client as a child that could not handle things well. So I opt for LIFEPO4 and except when extremely necessary (like Electric bike batteries) I go for prismatic cells instead of cylindrical cells

The truth is not about the client but the builder.
Getting a specified charger for 18650 is a major problem when you opt for grid but charging via solar is better.

the battery was poorly built, the reason for the explosion could be as a result of short circuit. The builder built a 12v 3s battery with a single core 6mm cable.

‎To avoid risk of fire, the builder must educate his customers on the use and maintenance of the battery and also offer routine check up.

‎The video shows the battery had bms installed and yet couldn't protect the battery from thermal runaway, overcharge or short circuit.

As I have said in my previous post, bms is also an electronics and can fail anytime without warning. It's the duty of the user to always check on his battery level to prevent overcharge and under-discharge.

I've been hearing/reading/watching people talk about the risk involved with 18650s, na today I see and believe. Mehnnn

If I'm to use this kind of stuff, I always think of enclosing it in an iron box. At least the box would prevent it from bursting out like that.

Those Temu cells, from experience, can be inferior or superior to tetralogyfallut's. I have had good and bad luck so can tell you about them. What tetralogyfallot sells is of higher quality when new but used so wont give you 100% of the label value. Those from temu can be so poor that it delivers 1C and have as few as 300 cycles left.
