‎Ali Kashif, a 25 year old imam who had been living in Italy for six years, appeared in undercover footage filmed for the Italian TV programme Fuori dal Coro. During the interview, he reportedly argued that girls become eligible for marriage after their first menstruation and suggested that marriages involving girls as young as nine could be acceptable under his interpretation of Islamic law.

‎Italian authorities in Brescia reviewed the recording and concluded that Kashif's statements were fundamentally incompatible with Italy's laws and its commitment to protecting children. Police Commissioner Paolo Sartori initiated deportation proceedings under Italy's immigration and public order laws, which allow the expulsion of foreign nationals considered a threat to society.

‎Within about 24 hours of the interview becoming public, Kashif was escorted to Milan Malpensa Airport and deported to Islamabad, Pakistan. Reports indicate his residence status was also a factor in the expedited removal.

Others questioned whether the process moved too quickly and raised concerns about due process and the extent of political involvement in the decision. While many reports credit Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni's government for its tough stance, available reporting differs on whether she personally ordered the deportation or whether it was carried out by local authorities under existing immigration laws.

That reminds of one Alfa that debated about child marriage on TikTok this Year saying a 9 years old daughter is a woman and marriageable. If it were to be in a developed country,the Alfa would be in problem by now . This a proactive Nation unlike UK and majority of European countries
