Happy Sunday, everyone.

Does anyone know this brand of induction cooker?

A vendor initially sent me what was supposed to be an induction cooker, but when I switched it on, I discovered it was actually an infrared cooker. I had to send it back, and they sent me this one as a replacement.

I've tried it, and it seems quite good. However, I've never heard of this brand before.

it's a very good brand. I have their gas burner.

It's Same category as Polystar

Thanks for this.
How about using 4.2kva inverter whose max input current is about 18A with the 620w panel? My battery storage capacity is 3kwh.
That will work

Ofcourse, what do you expect? That is the "Nigerian Business Ethics" for you.

First, they sent you a wrong product, under pretense.
Then they send you this one, as a replacement for the amount you paid for the initial one!
They are not going to send you anything better, it will be something cheaper because from the get-go, their intention was to defraud you. grin grin

Now, this Product is just like all those 2nd rate Inverters, same product but licensed with different names.

You need to share the time you open for the day and close for the day. Your battery might not be sufficient. As your battery back up after sundown is less than 4hrs. Your panels might not be sufficient too.

As for efficiency, if you can swap your TVs to more energy efficient ones, you will get better result

What do you suggest I do? Add more panel or more batteries?

I do plan to change the LCDs to Led but for budget reasons it would only be done one by one

Also what about the safety devices? Wiring? Are they okay or should I change them?

You would have made life easier had you stated your total load at a go (straight figure like 4.2Kwh, 5kwh etc.). From there we’ll do the maths for efficiency for you.

I don't think I'd ever need more than 6kv inverter as the shop has limited space and cannot take any more games although I'd be interested to know what other benefits a higher kV inverter would do for me asides adding more loads

I'd suggest you buy a single 15kwh battery. It should be close to the cost of that two 5kwh batteries

Also the Jinko panel cost is suspiciously low, I hope it's truly Jinko and not "sticker" aka fake Jinko.

Ok if you’re not planning to add more gadgets or expand your business, then 6kva inverter is ok but you will need a higher capacity battery like 15/16kwh for longer backup time and that will require more solar panels for charging.

- Induction Cooker Selects Pot but Infrared Cooker does not.
- Induction Cooker is more Efficient in any Energy Consumption, than an Infra Red Cooker
- Induction cooker uses Electromagnetic field to generate heat while Infra red Cooker uses a 'direct-heating' Element to generate heat, hence its lower efficiency.
- Induction Cooker heats faster than Infrared Cooker.
Adjusting the Temperature of an Induction Cooker is easier, consistent and instantaneous (due to its electromagnetic Technology) so, it is cheaper to run, compared with infrared Cooker
- Induction cooker usually cost more, than infrared Cooker, just a little more but in locations where getting the right Pots is difficult or expensive, this drives down the demand for induction Cooker and hence the Cost

so in a nutshell does infrared cooker consume less energy and it's the best right

If you have that kind of grid power why do you need solar panels? I would take the 1m you are spending on panels, pv breakers and wiring and increase your battery capacity to 15-20kwh and charge your battery from the grid overnight when your biz is closed.

I was told that my battery of 5.5kwh*2 would last only 6 hours at full load when both sun and light are not available. If that's true, which is yet to be established, it means 15kwh should last roughly 9hours which wouldn't be enough to get me off grid from 9am to 9pm

Hmm, in the vendors defence, she assumed the polystar infrared cooker was an induction cooker. Funny how she has sold about 4 units to people already and none of them looked back. Many still don't know how identify the two cookers. And talking about quality, I'll know with time but the build is solid and is a little heavier than the double faced infrared cooker that was sent to me initially.

I'd run installation for my gamehouse within the next 2-3 weeks

Pls house I need you to tell me what's wrong with this quote given by my prospective installer. Focus less on the price and more on if the setup will be okay for the gamehouse and how to prevent issues with the setup

These are what the gamehouse would comprise

Lg LCD 32 inches TV 140w *2
Samsung 32 inches led 56 watts *3
Samsung 32 inches lcd TV 110 watts *2
Samsung 15 inches lcd TV 40 Watts *3
PS2 fat 80w 3pcs
PS3 super slim -85Watts 2 pcs
PS3 slim-85 watts 5pcs
PS4 slim 100w 2pcs
Ps5 1 pc 200w
Yokaho DC ceiling fan 40w 1pc
1 duravolt 18 inch standing fan 27w 1pc

Note: I'm yet to get ps5 but it's in the pipeline. Also only 7 out of the combination of 10 PS3, ps4 and ps5 can be operational at once due to limited number of 32 inch TVs

This is what he quoted for me for the above setup

Infrared cooker is a modern hot plate with glowing heating element that can obviously be seen.

Induction cooker: You see nothing. Everything is black. You hear it working only when the right pot is on it.

Wrong pot , No work
Right pot, working
