Election is coming. They are now pushing for reduction. ![]() Like I always say. Unless cost of living comes down between now and 2027, Tinubu will get a heavy shellacking never experienced in he history of Nigeria |

Yes it's a move in the right 👍 direction. Dangote needs to do the right thing by reducing the petrol price because the price of crude oil 🛢️ has reduced drastically all across the world 🌎 |

But if they want to increase the price nothing like close door meeting oo, dangote and oil marketers are all criminals |

This is just because of the coming elections. If you want to know the colour of the coming government of Tinubu, go and read the reformed tax law. He is just withholding it because of the 2027 elections. Some people who are still supporting Tinubu are going to weep and wail bitterly after the 2027 general elections. |

Are they going to pay Dangote the difference if he agrees to reduce the cost of gasoline? |

When you hear something like this. It means federal government wants to subside fuel. The subsidy that was removed is making its way back through the back door. |

Efuaye:That is subsidy |

Beautifulday:Price negotiation is commonplace, it does not necessarily mean reintroduction of fuel subsidies. In fact, the government can also adopt the policy option of encouraging Dangote refinery and the marketers to explore the possibility of conveying large quantities of fuel products with railway’s oil tanker wagons, and it could help reduce petrol prices over time. |

Adblg0610:So when you encourage him he will use his own money to test the possibility of the encouragement working? Have you done business before? |

Dreal1247:Nigerians should not pay tax. If Obi becomes president in Biafra, no tax would be paid. |

happney65:And after they vote him in....? Back to business as usual. ![]() Tinubu came for the poor and middle classes in his first term. In his second term he's coming for the wealthy and rich. |

Ballmer:Why do you guys like lying? How could I say that Dangote's refinery wouldn't work when I was and still am a strong advocate for private refineries and privatisation generally? |

Beautifulday:What I mean is that government should persuade them to patronize its cheaper railway services, through tax incentives, reduced haulage fares and safe delivery guarantee. As it is now, expensive fuel road transportation is prevalent, it causes accidents and affects the conditions of the road. |

Very welcome development.. the fuel price need to come down further asap.. should not be more than N800-900 |

Adblg0610:There is no new model that doesn't cost serious money until it has been fine toned. That is government job not private sector. When private sector see that the government has borne the burden of discovering the cheapest route. They can now go in. Nobody is in business for charity. Nigerians don't understand this once they see a rich man. |
