For flat roof for future long last duration.

I hope it won't be a passage for heat during dry season. There is flexible duct connected to the one shown above. If you have the money you can install an AC and duct it to have a linear or square diffuser/grill like what you posted earlier.
Some client doesn't like having wall mounted AC in the house again. The era of wall bracket has gone, most fittings have to be in the ceiling.

In a standard project or construction site, we normally have ceiling coordinated drawings.

The only people that install the conventional type (high wall unit) on highrise building are developers because of the cost. VRF / Ducted system is more expensive but at the long run it saves energy.

If you visit banana island in Lagos you will a lot of residential building with VRF system.
