Hi,
Please assist.
Please is it mandatory to add hotel booking if applying as a tourist if no invitation letter from someone in Canada?
does it strengthen the application?
It is for a new application after the expiration of current visa.
Secondly, if someone gave birth in Canada on last trip (paid all bills with doctor's letters available),
is it important to mention this info on re application? If Yes, what documents should be attached.

Has travel history to Europe and UK since return from Canada.
Previous visa purpose was tourism, gotten many years before the pregnancy and child birth.

Please any helpful info is highly appreciated.

My Canada tourist visa application was refused because I did not declare my previous UK visa refusal. This was an honest mistake. I misunderstood the question and believed it referred only to visa refusals within the past five years, so I did not include my earlier UK visa refusal.
Can this type of genuine error be explained in a new application or reconsideration request, and what is the best way to address it to demonstrate that there was no intention to misrepresent my immigration history? Also, could I reapply ASAP

Yes, it can be explained. It is always a good idea to disclose all your previous visa applications, whether they were approved or refused, no matter how long ago they were.

It was simply a visa refusal, and you can explain it. It is not a major issue. Yes, you can reapply as soon as possible. There is no mandatory waiting period before submitting a new application, as long as you have addressed the reasons for the previous refusal.....which you will in the new application

No, a hotel booking is not mandatory IRCC is more interested in the purpose of your visit, Your financial ability to pay for the trip,
Home ties, travel history and if you will leave Canada at the end of your stay

IMO Never hide information from IRCC, especially if it relates to a previous stay in Canada so tell them you gave birth the last time you came but you paid for everything just attach your receipt and doctors note after birth with a letter explaining all that was paid for out of pocket by you

Good Morning everyone. I applied for a visit visa for my girlfriend back in May 7 2026. Not gotten any update on our application. Any possible reason? It is well beyond the processing time

Only IRCC can answer that question. They are taking their sweet time, so all you can do is email them and submit a web form. Beyond that, there's really nothing else you can do.

The only exception is if it's your wife and you are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident. In that case, you can contact your MP and ask them to intervene with IRCC on your behalf. Other than that, there's nothing else you can do.....

IRCC will take their sweet time, so all you can do is be patient and wait.

Oh! It just dawned on me I made exactly the same mistake!

Whoa.

So, I have an agent who does all my visa applications for me. Last year I wanted to try US and I did the application myself, and was denied.. therefore he has no knowledge of this. I inadvertently forgot to mention the US denial to him while applying for this current Canada Visa we concluded on the 1st of May.

Question: Can I disclose this using webform?

I think the best thing to do now is to quickly go and address that with LOE using webform .

Please, i applied for Canada visit visa since 3 days now and I haven't gotten the letter for biometrics. Is this normal? I thought that letter comes within 24 hours of your application?

Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by LumiTee: 10:44pm On Jul 13
I did my biometrics on 22nd of June and my biometric number, enrollment and expiry dates showed on my IRCC account about 30mins after. Today I checked my application status and I found out that the biometric space was showing "We have not received your fingerprints..." meanwhile, the biometric number and other dates still show on my account.
I checked the biometric tracker website to check, and it returned that my biometric is valid until 2036.

How long does it take IRCC to sync biometric?

Yes quickly you advised rightly. A friend I assisted was approved a short-stay single entry visa last year. This year i helped him reapply and he was refused. He had 2 US refusals he kept from me. Now they said he is not being truthful with his immigration history specifically with refusals from the US. So even after an approval it came back to haunt him.
