That’s an easy save for any keeper that guesses right.

It did not have power, pace nor good angle. Essentially same kick against Cape Verde I believe.

Go and watch Neymar's PKs and tell me if any has power, pace or good angle. Yet, he has a high rate of scoring.

That PK was okay. If the keeper had went the other way, English no go dey. Everybody go clap for Messi.

The Keeper made the right call; Doesn't mean the PK was bad

It was just a good catch. Nothing more

It was not a good penalty. Perfect height for the keeper and it wasn't heading for inside the side netting and was not a ferocious shot. Messi is just not a great penalty taker. Salah is the same.

And that is why I said, any goalkeeper that guesses right is saving that PK. There was absolutely nothing spectacular about the kick. It lacked pace, angle, power or even height.

There are attempts that make it difficult for the goalkeeper even if he guesses right; this isn’t one of them.

I would not. Many poor penalties are scored.

If your penalty has power and is aimed at the side netting and is a grounder or aiming for the top angles of the net, that is an objectively good penalty. It can still be saved by a miraculous save but it is a good penalty. The risk of aiming high is hitting over the bar.

Any penalty aiming close to the keeper or near the midline and at medium height can't be called a good penalty. The luck of the draw means GK can dive in the wrong direction, and you score it but does not mean you should repeat it next time.
