Yesterday was a partial sad day for me. The hose that ran from the aftermarket transmission cooler to the transmission pulled in high speed, didn't realize it until I got to church and it was too late, I lost all the fluid.

I really underestimated the fluid pressure and paid dearly for it

Mobil 1 is a nice oil but I stay away from it because the fakes are too much. The pennzoil is made from natural oil and the reviews are good. Just stick with one and don't keep changing brands. I don't think anyone is better, so far you change the oil frequently. I do 4 months max

Where do you buy parts from like disc, etc?

Got this error on the volvo. Seems the ambient temperature sensor is weak, causes check engine light on the dash

Checked aliexpress and the cost of the original sensor alone is almost $120 , I decided to replace the whole mirror alongside the sensor

My next project on the RX is an additional transmission cooler. The factory cooler is performing below expectation, I just ordered for 20 row universal transmission cooler, I feel this one will be a bit big considering that what I installed in my baby Volvo is 14 row. I smell holiday traveling, I can't wait to see what will happen under serious thermal stress on the highway!!!

@dru23 if you have Toyota ws, let me know, I will need to change the transmission oil after installing this cooler

Toyota ws from Toyota dealership is the cheapest
6liters is $125. We don't have it in stock. I will be shipping in two weeks time. It will take 6weeks after ship sail to reach Nigeria

Started the transmission cooler installation, I tested the oil pressure and damn it's good

As usual, the cooler is in series with OEM cooler, this installation is easier than that of the volvo. The car will sleep here for today, will service the transmission in the morning.

Transmission cooler installation completed, will drain and refill Transmission fluid tomorrow

Transmission travel time has increased.. You need to add at least half quart to the normal measurement/Guage.

Decided to downgrade my tyre from 265/50/20 to 245/50/20. Also swapped my spare for another spare with recent manufactured year (2025), I'm tired of road safety harassing me anytime I travel

I ended up taking the car to my house same day and serviced the transmission with the help of a local mechanic. The RX is a lot smoother now, wifey is really happy with the outcome

Also I just noticed that the oil is different @dru23, this is not the usual high mileage, this is the highly coveted ultra platinum

The car has never been smoother though, maybe we can keep it at this ultra platinum, though it is rarer than the high mileage

Had a very funny and sweet experience today from Abuja Airport. I was pulling out with my volvo, been thirsty for a race but not today as I had my kids with me after dropping wifey at the airport. This 2025 prado triggered me. I'm sure he'd go home to research on volvo product. @valarinz I wish I videoed the outcome for you

There's no contest here. It's a no brainer. Some ignoramus will push or drag you into what you don't want. It's better to ignore them. No be every rain wey fall dey gather flood.

If you want to race, look for an IS350 or a GS350 & have a go at it. Come back with feedback.

Multiple BMW drivers are looking for who to race with. I saw a C43 yesterday & apparently, they guy wanted a race but I guess capable cars are on vacation.
