If it was Messi that was fowl before the counter attack it would have been a penalty, huh? But Egypt counter goal was disallowed because they claimed there was a fowl , because Messi is Argentine
You might be right, but most people don't see that as the game changer.
These guys were leading 2-0... and still failed.

Mindset has a lot to do with it because one would have expected Egypt to seal up the victory at such scoreline of 0-2.

How would have Argentina leveled up and still added another goal?

It was 2-0 as I was leaving the office, vey happy that Egypt was winning this game. By the time I finished the 20minutes drive back home, I couldn't believe the 2-3 scoreline.

I truly can't express how deeply pained I am.

It's just lack of courage... A situation of a man who is only capable of handling 70k naira and haven't seen a bulk sum of 700k naira before in his account now happens to win a jackpot of 100m naira... He will likely waste the entire money until it remains 71k naira before he'll be able to know how he would've invested 1M naira....but guess what, he's left with the amount he can handle...

Egypt never believed they will be able to score a goal against Argentina... And they got a 2goal lead up till 81 minutes... If only Cape Verde were in that position of leading 2 goals up to 80 minutes...

Morocco can never squander such opportunity I wish
Morocco no fit loose guard like this.

What's really the problem of African football, I need hindsight please. You'd see Africa cup of nations 0-0, 1-1 or even 1-0 lead for full 90mins plus extra time and here in world cup an African team leading 0- 2 in second half and can't secure a win till they lose 3-2.

And not just any African teams, champions of africa.

If I didn't watch the match I would have said it's fixing but Africa football generally still has a long way to go not just physically but psychologically. Why won't the whole world take us as a jest in the world stage.
In Africa...time wasting is allowed but at World stage, Fifa does not condone that, if you lie down...you ll be out of the pitch for 5mins before you rejoin the team

O boy, Its Ojoro.

You think winning football is only what you can play on the pitch, Officiating kills a match. Why disallowed a goal, penalty not given.

Why Trump call is enough to overturned a RED card.
Nothing wrong with Africa, but we are not yet compete on the same ground with Europe and America
make Una dey dia dey complain others go dey carry cup ,France wey be say blacks full thier team dey win world cup ,why Nigerians too dey complain ? USA wey Belgium beat 4 -1 don move Nigerians still complain because Messi still dey score and Ronaldo don commot

It appears "Africa near success" syndrome is also playing out in Football. We need to look inward and change a lot of things. Als, Argentina somehow are always lucky with African teams. Somehow it just works for them in the last minute- Deflection, penalty, something always happens.
Our handling of success also matters. Look how the goals scorers from Africa most times celebrate. The energy could be conserve to play more. Keep playing as if you are not on the winning side until the last whistle blows.

You should also wonder about why even in a team with many black players, especially African team, na oyibo be manager.

Wonderment 🤔

Not just Africa, but also Asia & Oceania.
Oceania is even the worst, an oceanian country qualifying for the world cup is like winning the world cup.

The coaches don’t seem to encourage attacking football and the players are not skillful enough or encouraged to play freely. So they are obsessed with keeping their shape, not conceding goals, and aimless passing .
Re: What's Really The Problem Of African Football? by Insectkiller: 9:50pm On Jul 07
The only problem is that Africans had NO sense...

Football is not about physicality...African football is only about physicality.. especially the likes of Senegal, Congo, cote divorce, etc.

But the Europeans and some of the South American are tactical and sensible...

No wonder African football (say Cameroon Vs Ghana OR Senegal vs Congo) always boring boring to watch... Or their leagues.

But when Europeans plays everyone want to watch and u be watching and glue to the TV.. especially European leagues...

Africa nah washhhhhh

Sad-Africa Xeno-renophobiaaaaa boys are stranded..use, less country use, less people use, less Ramaphosa

This your post is so much underrated.

If not for the game management skill of Arteta, Arsenal won't have won EPL last season

I wonder why the black African countries don't usually go far in tournaments like this. They all have been disqualified. Even the remaining Africans are North that looks like Europeans. Something is seriously wrong with the black race
