In this round of 16, I think the host nations should excuse us, only if England knows what they are doing.

And my biggest game in this round is Brazil Vs Norway.

Truly, we have been excused by the host nations, most especially the USA despite their shout of red card.

And England did a good job.

When Santos the coach who won them the Euro told them it's time to bench Ronaldo, they tore him to shreds and went for a pliant coach who is a yessah man for Ronaldo. Go look at their match against Croatia. After he was substituted, his reaction showed he wasn't in the mood for such pranks by the coach. The mumu coach chickened out immediately. How can you be 41 with younger strikers on the bench and you insist on playing every minute of every game for selfish glory hunting. He just ruined the career of a whole generation of Portuguese talents with his oversized ego and insecurities

FIFA World Cup 2026: Quarter-finals Confirmed! Full List of Qualified Teams, Results and Fixtures (Nigeria Time)

The Round of 16 has ended, and the eight teams that will battle for a place in the semi-finals have now been confirmed. There were some major upsets, with Brazil, Portugal, USA, Canada, Colombia and Mexico all crashing out.

Here are the teams that qualified, who they defeated, the scores, and their Quarter-final opponents.

1. Morocco defeated Canada 3-0 and will face France.

2. France defeated Paraguay 1-0 and will face Morocco.

3. Norway defeated Brazil 2-1 and will face England.

4. England defeated Mexico 3-2 and will face Norway.

5. Spain defeated Portugal 1-0 and will face Belgium.

6. Belgium defeated the United States 4-1 and will face Spain.

7. Argentina defeated Egypt 3-2 after a dramatic comeback and will face Switzerland.

8. Switzerland defeated Colombia on penalties after a 0-0 draw (4-3 on penalties) and will face Argentina.

Argentina .... and the weakest team. Argentina will win. The US... Israel and Argentina... a three headed monster. Head of FIFA knows what he has to do ...... or else?

Note .... all games are played during daylight...... except the one with Argentina. Should we expect some "floodlight glitches"? .... as in Argentina goes ahead 1-0 on the 76th minute ... the opposing team comes storming back ... successive runs at goal ... Argentina defense is in panic mode then ... out of nowhere .... blackout... and the match awarded to who was ahead. Possible?
