But notice that the law and its consequences didn't stop the act.
Notice that the laws in the US, Norway, the UK, etc. are much lighter, but they have fewer cases of these.

Meaning that corruption is a character trait, and only the system stops people from doing so.
It is just like saying: stop smoking, and think that telling them the consequence will stop them from doing so. But if you make ciggarettes as expensive as a car, either they smoke something else, or they stop smoking.

The point is: the system is stronger than the consequences.

Here in my country there are no aspirations for greatness. Nationhood is reduced to religious and tribal schisms so there is no incentive to right any wrongs, none whatsoever.

That is why we have always said that without restructuring, this country just cannot become great.

That's a serious country that's really interested in fighting and eradicating corruption in their society. Corruption practices like this in nigeria has been institutionalised as part of govt normal bureaucratic procedures in govt offices by those currently in govt. China knows that with their huge population of over a billion people allowing corruption to eat deep into their systems is definitely going to be a huge disaster for their larger population like what we are currently seeing in nigeria.

So in 30 years of service, he could only corner a little over 2billion Yuan, and there's no way out of death sentence, that's to tell you how easy it is for a Carmel to pass through a needle than for a Chinese to enrich himself or herself through corruption in Chinese soil. WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!

We focused on politicians when corruption case popped up while average Nigeria are worst in their various capacity artisan, private and public workers etc even without remorse but be honest are you honest 100% ? A thief that stole in the kitchen and the thief in bank are all thief. Let all look onwards and unleash integrity honesty and righteous living anger on corruption then politicians will be able to do better in Nigeria because all politicians are produced by Nigeria as a country

Who's going to be the first to sacrifice his family members to be killed for corruption? Who is going to sign such laws? Every single politician supported fuel subsidy removal in 2023 but once the policy starts to have the expected but temporal hard effect on the people then the politicians started another story and backtracked on their previous policy. One of them famous for having a madman as special security advisor was saying that he would have done it another way. If an ijaw judge send an igbira or Yoruba politician to the gallows for corruption people from those ethnicity will start to read meaning into it. Can you nominate ten people in your family who will not steal money if they are in power? Be honest because I'm sure that people you want to nominate will surely tell you that they will steal if given the chance. Since people from a particular tribe in Nigeria have been arrested also everyday and jailed for drug trafficking offenses across India, Africa and Asia have they stopped?
