To improve children and maternal care in Lagos State, we set out on the reconstruction of Massey Street Children Hospital.

The century old Massey Street Hospital is more than just a hospital for most of us, it is also a part of our history and heritage. (l

The rehabilitation of the hospital reflects our unwavering determination to bridge all gaps in the health sector while the reconstruction of three major roads in Lagos Island demonstrates our commitment to an inclusive and non-discriminatory developmental agenda.

As a responsive government, we identified the inadequacy of Massey Children Hospital to continue to meet the needs of a megacity, and particularly those of the children in need of care.

As a result of the increasing number of patients who need to access quality medical services, the capacity has been overstretched and the hospital must be urgently upgraded to meet the needs of patients.

The new Massey Street Children Hospital will be a seven-storey, 150-bed, ultra-modern, fit-for-purpose paediatrics and emergency General Hospital with a multi-level car park.

Again, will you rather stay in Tinubu's Lagos or Obi's Anambra?

If you can't manage small amount of money, you still won't be able to manage large amount of money

Lagos was once the capital of Nigeria. And generate highest revenue in Nigeria

Yes na
Brewery is more important than hospitals.

Under Obi, while doctors and teachers were on strike, construction of brewery was ongoing.

Lagos Island was once the capital, not Lagos state. The capital territory did not get up to Lekki Phase 1 or even Gbagada.

Calabar was also once the capital. So, that is irrelevant.

Also, no one is stopping states from also generating revenue. Unfortunately, some others prefer paying bandits and declaring sit at home on Mondays.

So, the government should not do projects or give you infrastructures again because of the budget.

I doubt if you're a Nigerian because Nigerians are much more intelligent than this.

Peter Obi, the undisputed nightmare of the enemies of the State.
Let Them nubs first show the hospital and schools he built as governor. By the way, Anambra performed very well during his watch in academic affairs. Stats don’t lie.
You cannot have enough amenities like this. Well done Sanwolu!

This is really beautiful. Health is wealth. They should make sure it is affordable and accessible to every child.

The incoming administration under Hamzat has a historic opportunity to solve Lagos’s waste crisis once and for all. By shifting from a model of waste containment to total waste resource recovery, Lagos can become a cleaner, healthier, and flood-resilient megacity.
Here is the two-pronged strategy to achieve this:
1. Establish Mega Recycling and Waste-to-Energy Plants
Lagos must phase out traditional landfills entirely, transitioning to a Zero-Landfill Policy.
Strategic Location: Build state-of-the-art recycling plants on the outskirts of Lagos or in partnership with adjoining states (e.g., Ogun) where land is more accessible.
Comprehensive Processing: These facilities should be equipped to sort and process all categories of waste, both organic and inorganic.
Waste-to-Energy (WtE): Any truly non-recyclable materials should be diverted to modern, eco-friendly incinerators. These incinerators will serve a dual purpose by generating electricity to feed back into the local grid.
2. Implement a Statewide, Source-Separated Recycling Program
To feed these plants efficiently, waste management must be reformed at the household level.
Phased Pilot Program: Launch curbside recycling trials in a select few Local Government Areas (LGAs) to test logistics, public compliance, and collection frequency.
Feedback-Driven Scale-Up: Use the data and insights gathered from the pilot phase to optimize the system before rolling it out statewide.
Public Incentivization: Introduce community awareness campaigns and incentives to encourage citizens to separate their waste at home.

Fine citizens who refuse to separate their waste properly.

Finally, trucks designated for waste pick ups should be paid by the states.

With all the big infrastructure in Lagos, poor waste management overshadows it!!

Of what use are buildings and structures when road medians are used as dump sites?

I have stated how Lagos could go about it, not implementing it is pure negligence
