How can you play Six editions of the biggest footballing event in the world and you only had a single decent one (in 2018)? In four of those editions, he was eliminated by USA, Ivory Coast, Uruguay and Morocco, teams all ranked way below Portugal at the time. Messi excelled in 3 out of 6 WCups, in addition to his unparalleled club success. Clowns now bringing why he didnt play in EPL to counter the above? Pele or Maradona play English League ni? Ronaldo was a failure at the biggest stage. This is fact. |

Godx:Well, you're wrong. The USMNT have historically generated the majority of the federation's revenue. The only period in which the women earned more was from 2015 to 2018, due to the fact that the women won the World Cup while the men failed to qualify for theirs. That was the weapon used in negotiating the CBA. Since then, the men's national team has continued generating substantially more revenue, due to larger prize pools and more lucrative stadium revenue, as men's matches attract higher ticket prices and more attendance compared to the ladies. |

ThierryJay:The world cup is the biggest competition in sports. Not football ooo, sports! Ronaldo failed there. No amout of mental gymnastics is gonna change the fact that his world cup legacy is nowhere near that of Sidibe.

Ellexy:No be today something. Not just UEFA darling even FIFA included. Somewhere in November 2013, FIFA had to extend Ballon d'or voting deadline to accommodate the crucial world cup qualification match between Portugal & Sweden. Pendu scored hat trick in that match & automatically sent Portugal to 2014 World Cup. |

Leyqute:That was actually my point. The way Messi's excuse smelled like bull-sh1t from your pov is just the same way what you put up for Wasiu is perceived. Alright sha, swords sheathed. |

Unlimited22:Even games sef. Men's matches usually have more expensive tickets and higher attendance. |

World Cup is scripted but Pendu has cried six times after getting eliminated. Is Pendu tears also part of the SCRIPT??❓ Abi is he now giving authenticity and legitimacy to the SCRIPT?

akwesenana:Nah, When it comes to ticket sales and merchandise revenue, the USA women team comfortably outperforms the men team. FIFA prize money is probably the only area where the men can close the gap and even then I believe the figures would be close. The Main point is that other football Fa especially those from the bigger countries should adopt a similar approach if they want to grow their womens team. |

raumdeuter: ![]() A lot of top players have moved from Spain, Italy, Germany, France, Portugal, and the Netherlands to the Premier League and done really well. Thierry Henry came from Serie A and became an Arsenal legend. Cristiano Ronaldo came from Sporting in Portugal and became one of Man United’s greatest. Luis Suárez came from Ajax in the Netherlands and became one of the league’s best strikers. Sergio Agüero came from La Liga and became a Premier League icon. Mohamed Salah came from Serie A and became world-class at Liverpool. Kevin De Bruyne came back from the Bundesliga and became one of the best midfielders in Premier League history. And Erling Haaland came from the Bundesliga and started breaking scoring records right away. So how come a player of Messi’s caliber would flop in the EPL? Sometimes agenda will just make people to talk "anyhow talk". |

MorataFC:It also sounded anyhow that Messi would score just six league goals in an entire Ligue 1 season for PSG, yet it happened. That's why saying a player did this here or that there isn't an argument. |

OkpaNsukkaisBae:This is Ronaldo after losing his first and only UCL final. He was clearly devastated but didnt burst into tears because e no say UCL no too get weight compared to the worldcup. Now consider all his world cup exit including that of 2026. You no go cry keh! World cup carries too much weight.
