Dont be decieved, the honest truth is using social apps is the slowest way to learn speaking. You'll deal with scammers, different time zones, individual daily schedules. You'll lose focus with time.
Just go to cotonou for immersion, you'll be amazed at how fast you'll blend because you wouldn't want to sound odd. If you can't afford to stay long, make friends and bargain with them on practicing speaking even when you're in Nigeria. Except you don't plan on writing tcf, then quit apps and face real life.
When you're fluent a bit, practice with chat gpt pro for corrections. With this strategy I got C1 for writing and speaking

I am having issues getting native speakers on Hello Talk, or probably I dont know how to use the app.
Also, can you share the prep pack you used from the francophone countries?

I wouldn't speak in absolutes, apps are tricky but if you get the hang and get an actual speaker it can work wonders. Also Cotonou is the worst place bar Lome to do "immersion" for French. Their French is super inflected by their native language, most don't speak a lick of French and when they do it is broken French likely to undo all your hard work. Like I previously stated if you must immerse yourself try Abidjan and/or Daka if going to France is out of the question.

In addition take everything you see online with a pinch of salt, believe nothing don't contact anyone privately, demonstrate extreme scepticism. Don't get scammed.

Your level in the usage of both languages will determine which is easier for you. If your French is better than your English, then it would be easier for you, if reverse is the case, then your guess is as good as mine. Both language tests will examine all 4 skills, L,R,S and W. I hope this helps

I will advice you get on duolingo, then look for a coach around you. If you can't get a physical teacher, remote is also good.

You can also follow youtube channels, ensure you learn sounds before you start grammar

I'm currently in my 4th month as a new learner

Bonne chance !

Also,

Busuu is a better alternative. More structured than duolingo.

Hello, please, I am 35 years old. I have a master's degree in Biochemistry from a Nigerian university. I just recently graduated from a Nigerian Nursing school with a Registered Nurse (RN) certificate. How do I go about traveling to Canada as a Registered nurse. Thank you
