Most of us know fruits and vegetables are good for our health, but very few people know how much experts actually recommend eating every day. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), adults should eat at least 400 grams of fruits and vegetables daily. This is roughly five portions a day and is linked to a lower risk of heart disease, certain cancers, obesity, and other chronic conditions. What does that look like in real life? 🍌 A banana with breakfast 🍊 An orange as a snack 🥭 A slice of pawpaw after lunch 🥬 Vegetables with your lunch or dinner 🍉 A slice of watermelon later in the day Spread across the day, these can help you work towards the WHO's daily recommendation. Like the pointless eight glasses of water daily recommendation, yes? Mscheew. One fruit a day is good. Three daily is a little too much. Every job location I've worked in which we were fed came with two fruits a day -- to go with lunch and dinner. |

meobizy:Thank you for pointing that out. The weight is simply a scientific way of giving a universal recommendation. You don't have to weigh every orange or slice of watermelon. However, in practical terms, an average medium orange weighs over 120g, so two medium oranges could provide roughly 250–300g. We can say the same for four pineapple slices which can roughly give 200–250g depending on how they are cut. So, the important message is to include a good amount and variety of fruits and vegetables in your daily diet to help support your health. |

Think about this ... whenever WHO pushes something ... consider WHO is basically run by Bill Gates and carries out his agenda. How can you be for population control ... and at the same time encouraging eating healthy to have a longer life? Be careful. Gates is into farming ... GMO. crops where the fruits can carry "vaccines". The fruits being named are the ones he's trying to distribute world wide . Fruits are good... natural fruits. Do we really believe these GMO fruits carry. The same nutrients as the ! fake ones? My advice to anyone ... make fruits a part of your diet... natural fruits. Avoid GMO fruits ... the ones that do not attract insects... that the birds will not eat .. that would not attract flies and bees when ripe ... the ones that break down to a pool of liquid instead of getting dry. |
