US launches second night of airstrikes on six Iranian cities after Trump declares ceasefire “over,” striking Chabahar’s port infrastructure

President Donald Trump ordered a second night of American airstrikes against Iran, hitting the southern port city of Chabahar and five other locations, after declaring the fragile US-Iran ceasefire “over” following renewed Iranian attacks on shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.

US Central Command confirmed the strikes late Wednesday, saying forces acted at Trump’s direction to “further degrade” Iran’s ability to threaten freedom of navigation through the strait, a critical global oil shipping route.

“The United States is holding Iran accountable for recent unjustified aggression against commercial shipping and civilian crews freely navigating a vital international waterway,” CENTCOM said in a statement posted to social media.


Iranian state media reported explosions across Chabahar, Konarak, Bandar Abbas, Bushehr, Iranshahr and Aq Qala. In Chabahar, strikes damaged a maritime traffic control tower, two piers and a depot, according to Iran’s state broadcaster IRIB, and left large parts of the city without power.

Fragments from the strikes hit the city’s Imam Ali hospital, IRIB reported, though the extent of any casualties there was not immediately confirmed.

A firefighter was killed in a separate strike on Iranshahr Airport, according to Iranian state media, which also reported damage to the airport’s flight operations building and weather station.

Trump, speaking to reporters while travelling from the NATO summit in Ankara, said the strikes targeted small boats used to harass shipping, along with underground storage sites for drones and missiles, coastal defence positions, radar stations and surveillance equipment.

All this new wave of strikes is a testament to Trumps frustration that he could not achieve in Iran what he achieved in Venezuela .
The simple fact is that there is no way Iran will EVER lose to the US.
The Strait of Hormuz is a fact of geography that has existed since the beginning of time and will continue to exist till the end of time. If you like drop bombs from now till thy kingdom come and kill another 1 million people you cannot take it away.
