Your cousin will be a manager in the security company and he must have worked for a long time. The salary will be above 4k pounds per month because how else could he have been able to cough out 100 million naira for a house in Nigeria? A 100 million naira net worth is enough to retire on in Nigeria because without working at all, it can secure you more than 15 million naira per annum as returns on fixed deposit and you can more than live on that. Does it make sense to have that and be doing security work in the UK?

Now, someone earning 150k per month in Nigeria in an average Nigerian city as a single person can be better off than someone on minimum wage in the UK but someone earning 60k in Nigeria can not be better off than the same person.

another cousin of mine in aussie who work as care support just built his own house worth over 100million, another cousin in London who runs a daycare bought a whole 6 flats in mushin for close to 200 million.

The owner of the house I stayed for airbnb in ikeja lives in uk, I asked the manager and he told me he bought it for 80 million in 2022 but now its worth 120 million.- just a flat.
