What cant journalists ask these guys questions such as Dear Minister, can u collect 100k and live on 100k per month as a minitser? What maakes u better than the foot military men and police who actually do much works, risk their lives while u sit in AC and enjoy? Why are masses allowing the smaller numbers fool them? Instead of me to die for Nigeria while these politicians and ministers enjoy hot and young uni babes, I will rather be dancing at market square.

How a sane human being thinks N100k is decent for a security officer beats me.

But again, our rulers have been proven over time that they are not sane.

If it is not to fry akara, it is to teach corp members pre-paid meter installations.

Then now N100k is 'something' to 'improve' the welfare of soldiers.

That means you don't expect them to have cars, put their kids in basic schools, eat a semblance of balanced diet or have any sort of recreation.

If eggs are N6k per crate and a soldier has a conservative family of 4, they can't even afford eating eggs once daily.

It is well.

At the end of the day, how do you expect the soldiers to defend nigeria on scanty salary.

I have been saying this, yet people dey call me government supporter. Ok o. Anyway, 100000 is still scanty.

100k? It is not even 100k yet, so all these able bodied men i saw at the nigerian airports and on the roads are paid a meagre 49k....

100k for some of us is not even enough to buy a good bottle of Champaigne

So when minimum wage was 30k Military earned 49k just 63% above minimum wage
Now minimum wage is 70k Military earns 100k which is approximately 43% above minimu wage

I think Nigerian Military men(the lowly placed ones) should be commended for not always using gun to rob and harrass the people.

Which double tax? What happened to our lithium, gold, gas, oil, countless minerals, all the farmable lands? even water, god blessed us with a lot. Europeans dont have much resourcs that is why they tax heavily. We have a lot, even many that can be converted to make money off exported finished products. But no, we chose to bless politicians with mouth watering packages. If Europeans have half of what africans have, they will thank god. Infact, do u know what we can make from cashew nuts, red oil, farmlands we have? Nigeria has crazy empty farmable lands, more than Netherlands but Netherlands export finished foods to us. Even Ukrain export foods to Africa. Them swear for us. No be by tax o, we get the brain? We have everything to even not to tax our citizens heavily especially on income tax. Like Dubai, no income tax but VAt tax. That format can work for resource rich nations. People pay VAT for what they purchase and use.

But FG can pay billions to them selves as politicians for working for just 4 years? Make it make sense. Why not cut out of the huge pay given to FG? Imagine how much is budgted to feed president and his family? then look at each ministers, governors, house of rep member, senators, etc. Imagine what they budget to buy them cars every 4 years. Nothing is normal in Nigeria whalai when most companies pay their security men 120k, a whole soldier dey collect 100k without any life or even health insurance . A soldier should earn a minimum wage of 300k if we are serious about fighting insecurities
