You have a very good topic, but you don't know how to bring out its meaning for conclusion, you talk here and you talk there,it lacks coherent,
COHERENCE, teacher.

You see, maybe life is luck. Or maybe life is effort based. I made most effort to do big things related to electricity, music and even football.
I was really good at football and almost made it.
If I had known I would have sticked to football and ignore chasing university education

Now I'm matured and when I look back, I see all my mistakes. I see the things I would have done differently. It breaks me to know I can't change the past so I try hard not to think about it.
I am scared of being poor or in lack. Unable to solve basic problems most especially the ones that require financial attention. I am scared of being poor, but I find myself drifting towards that state. I'm really afraid of the future. It feels like prayers are not a guarantee that things will work out.

I see men walking around in Ankara and looking dejected. Some sitting on a bench in groups unemployed. Some looks like they've accepted their fate. I heard one say "wealthy is for the brave, people who are dead hearted".. I always held that saying in my heart for long.

The older I get, the more I understand why people participate is some certain crimes. So much responsibilities to meet and few opportunities materializing

Sometimes! E go be like say my head wann blow
It feels like prayers are not a guarantee that things will work out.
I disagree with you on this. What cannot boil at 100°C will boil at 200°C. You need to take a short break and find time to pray for long. Short prayers don't have effect as long prayers.

Poverty and wealth are two different realms. The latter can only be granted by God, but it can also be given temporarily by the devil with consequences.

Hard work and discipline are advantages, but without the God factor, genuine riches are far from reach.

Many people only look rich but are poor, while there are others who are wealthy yet disguise themselves as poor or keep their wealth completely hidden from the public eye.

So, don't be carried away by what you see on the outside. There is more to life than meets the eye.

I am writing this out of fear and out of being inquisitive. People that are poor, why are they poor?

I didn't grow up in a rich neighborhood. My estate was mixture of civil servants, government workers and petty traders. Everybody relying on each other for one thing or the other

But as time went on, I started to observe other kids saying and some times telling me I'm from a rich home.
Of course, that was their perception since they are oblivious of the struggles my family faced always waiting "for end of the month".
And never enough money to last a whole month.

As time went by, I started being conscious of people looking scrawny and wearing just one type of clothes with less colour. Dry looking skin, feet and wearing palm sandals.

I didn't like that kind of dressing so I always wore a white canvas mum bought for me meant for church. I also used to wear one I acquired from my brother by "rite of passage"🤔

When they see me, they always stared at me and even laughed at me that I was wearing a fine canvas. I tried to explain to them that it keeps the skin dust free and neat nails. These people call me Ajebutter.

It didn't make any sense to me. Why would you laugh at me for wearing something good? I felt we should always try to solve a problem when we observe it... Instead of thinking we are strong and exposing the skin to harm

I was still a kid but it gradually became obvious most of these people were poor.
It's lost opportunity either by fate, inheritance, hardwork.

Like the book of Ecclesiastes says, time and chance happen to them all.

A lots of battles being poor but what I know is that, I'm not gonna come this battle ground again.

Thank God for where and how far he has brought me
Re: Why Are People Poor? Why Does This Happen? by Skydivine:
Just be consistent in and deliberately put down the little you have into some kind of investment. Even if it’s 30k every month.
In ten years you would be grateful to did.
To be rich, you have to be deliberate over a long time in building wealth.
This works in every aspect of life.

You just told my story. But you were born by great parents. My father is a farmer so also my mother. I also learned barbing. But education changed my mentality. I am so confident. My story has changed.. whatever I desire comes my way, not by prayer alone. I read a lot of books.. if I digest your story very well, is like you once lived around festac. Thank God you left football, you would have died a poor man. Why? During our time, it was also man know man kind of connection being used to select players.. if I don't make money, I wouldn't forgive myself.

Humanity is indeed the greatest wealth like you've said. When i see how the government in Canada cares for people living with different kind of extreme disabilities from cradle to birth, easing their parents of the
physical and financial burden, I realize those parents are wealthy without even knowing it.
CreatedtwoRule:
You are poor as a Nigerian living in Nigeria, get involved in accident and see if you are not poor upon all the money you think you and your family have stacked up anywhere assuming you are one of such Nigerians,
on that accident scene people would steal all they can lay hands on first, then make videos to upload to their pages before ever rendering help, then you will know love, humanity is the biggest wealth, which is lacking in Nigeria. All we know is the rest die if only all the money mine! .

Still is.

Enjoy the moment.
Poverty isn't a personality trait. Sometimes it's bad choices, but often it's a lack of opportunity, education, or simply bad luck. Never judge someone's worth by their job or Crossy Road income.

You still have a phone or computer and data to type all these so you are not poor. Be honest, be truthful, be hardworking and focused...Life will smile back at you. Like Ogunde once sang, no matter how bad things are, faith will shift things after a decade. So, I have noticed that in every 10yrs, major things would happen in one's life. Be ready and be prepared like Boys Scout.
That's a big observation

GO AND CURE YOUR HEAD OF RACIAL COMPLEX.

The Black Race is the First Born of Creation by over 200,000 years.

The lighter races emerged barely 7,000 years ago.

MELANIN-DEFICIENT bleached-out descendants of the first AFRICAN explorers who settled the whole Earth tens of thousands of years ago. And gave the world speech, writing, mathematics, architecture, medicine, the sciences and the arts.

Iron Smelting, the very basis of ALL metallurgy and modern technology, was invented in Lejja, Nsukka, Nigeria.

The world's oldest iron smelting site was discovered there and carbon-dated to 2650 BCE, nearly 2,000 years before Greece and Rome.

In your next-door neighbour Sudan, sit over 250 pyramids, more than even Egypt, which itself was a Black African civilisation.

Those Sudanese pyramids were aligned with constellations and star movements, and are thousands of years older than any building in Europe, America or Asia.

Without the black race, there would be no whites, Arabs, Asians or Americans, or modern civilisation.

And the whole world would be living in caves in the Stone Age.

How DARE you juxtapose the black race negatively with its bleached-out offspring of yesterday?

DECOLONISE YOUR HEAD, OKAY?

What you lack is a knowledge gap, a massive one. I'll recommend you look at Thomas Sowel's "Basic Economics" start there and progress through other of his social economy writings. Beyond that, Skill, Prayer's and being in the right place and at the right time is a tool to beat poverty.

Before you can become rich, you must first of all believe you will become rich by having the mindset, then secondly, you will sit urself down and think of the Job or business you can venture into at an early stage that will push you there in the nearest future 💯

You should also ask: Why are people rich/wealthy?

The truth is, poverty and wealth are the major characteristics of human existence. That’s, one must either be poor, average or rich/wealthy.

My prayers is that May I not be poor, but do you know that life would be more difficult if everybody are/were/becomes rich/wealthy?

Think about this things

Talking about the devil giving temporary wealth. I've seen someone whom the devil literarily gave wealth. He died. But his children are still enjoying that wealth. When we say that there is something called ritual money, some people won't believe it.

This man practically sold his soul to the devil. When he was alive, on his head lived maggots, that gave him wealth.

The children may inherit the wealth, but they cannot escape the consequences of the sins of the father. The sins of the parents are inherited by the children.

‎When a father cooks poisonous food for his children and goes on a journey, expect the children to suffer stomach upsets later, even while he is away.

‎Outwardly, it may seem the children are “enjoying” the wealth, but they know what they are facing.

‎Remember, many people sleep on beds of tears in paradise, and life can never be cheated.
