McLizbae:A foreign trained doctor working as a doctor in South Africa or one working as a driver in South Africa? If the latter, then he may be right. ![]() |

SirCloudControl:. It obviously does nothing of the sort, which you claim. It instead points to a possible intentional misconstruing of the complaints made by the drivers. ![]() Think carefully about the situation, and you will see this for yourself. Say you have 1000 job openings for qualified physicians, and about 10,000 driver job openings for a particular year across SA. Let's also assume that locally only about 50 doctors can be sourced, while there are over 12,000 local people qualified to work in the driver positions. If the government decided to import approximately 950 other people to maybe occupy the doctor positions, but after arrival, it is found that only about 450 of those allowed in have the qualifications necessary to get the physician jobs. Guess who the other 500 unqualified doctors will be competing with for work? ![]() |

McLizbae:I already explained why it is more likely not the former but the latter. The protestors are not going into hospitals or rich neighborhoods en masse to find themselves illegal immigrants. . They are going into the poor neighborhoods... where most non-doctors are likely to be found... to find the illegal immigrants. ![]() |

fineboynl:Men whose only talent like in oration rarely make good leaders or politicians. What Africa needs are men who have successfully managed their own lives, built and managed successful business over time whole at the same time putting the people and nation before it all. Even then, such men would have to be pushed to for transparency and accountability every step of the way to keep them focused on the goal. 🤔 |

fineboynl:Let me guess...you believe instead that lifelong politicians do? 🤔 2. Successful business owners are typically people who listen to both their customers and workers, at the same time knowing how to take the best risk when necessary. 🤔 Running a state or country is akin to running a corporation and many a times. 🤔 |

Kobojunkie:that's not true. Business men and capitalist. They seek bribe and opportunity to milk the massa and makes more millions. A leader with intelligence and a good listener. Can hire the best minds to work with him. Business men and politicians. And nothing more. The lobby and change things in favour of profits which is against the masses. |

fineboynl:1. Life-long politicians are not capitalists and do not "seek bribes and opportunity to milk the masses and make more millions"? ![]() 2. Well, this literally describes successful businessmen. ![]() 3. Interesting! Your stock of politicians did exactly this for at least 60 years straight, though. And the vast majority of them who have some degree and no prior successful business history also come from a humanities background. So, why would you think of hiring more of the same fraudsters to the government? ![]() |
