During the women world cup.. whatever the USA women team get during the world cup..the prize money they also have to share the money with the male USA national team
So they are now practicing communism that they fought against.... so I earn 1 million at work...u now tell me to share it 50/ 50 with my junior colleague sos they share their 100k salary 50/50 with me...now how does that make sense??

There is nothing woke about this. Women's sports suffers from gross underfunding the world over.

Have we not been in Nigeria where the U-17 national women's team were paid N30,000 as match bonuses while their male counterparts were paid in US dollars?

The Super Falcons have won 10 WAFCON titles. TEN.
Super Eagles have won only three. THREE. It has been 13 years since the last one they won. In that time frame, the ladies have won several titles back to back to back. The tournaments they did not win, Equatorial Guinea that won were found to have used at least a player that was a biological male. The other one was where the Falcons had to play Morocco with 9 players for nearly the entire second half and extra time where it was clear a conspiracy was in play to make sure they did not win.

So we need to start funding women's sports properly.

There's no doubt about that. But you can't compare the level of growth now to what it was three to five years ago. That's real growth, irrespective of whether the ticket prices are cheaper or not.
Female football will never get to 10% of male football as long as that sport exists ....there are situations that should just be accepted ... its like saying minimum wage in usa should be same with Nigeria cos we are all same humans ...there are things that u just cant change by force ... when it comes to modeling, women will always earn 10ntimes what men earn cos the world naturally prepare watching female models on the runway than men ... same with the porn industry

I'm not disputing anything you've said. My point is that one good thing about the ruling is that, should (take note of that word) there be an improvement, the same will apply to women.

It's similar to the divorce system in the US. Generally, the responsibility for child support often falls on the man. However, if it's established that the woman is the primary breadwinner, she automatically assumes responsibility for child support instead.

The prize money for the Women’s World Cup is $4.29 million which is about 4 times smaller than what a team can win for getting to the 2nd round of the men's world Cup

While this may not make sense, the good thing is should women sports become profitable in future like the men's sports, the prize money will equally be shared equally too. Right now, it may not make sense because it favours the women.
By then, the US women's team will flip the switch and tell you, our money is our money. Those women are plainly greedy.

Re: US Men To Share 50% Of $12.8m World Cup Prize Money With Women's Team by Originalsly: 11:36am On Jul 10
Hmmm .... I can see a selection bias in the women's team. Money will be a factor in selection of the roster. If one is selected for the upcoming WWC ... 240 K will be in the bank. This is a opening for corruption... some with connections and less talent will make it on the roster. The women will not be happy when their prize money has to be shared. My question is which men's team will their prize be shared with?... this present team?.... or the next? I'm surprised to learn that this sharing was actually passed for football. I always heard the issue with basketball but the argument against it was bring more attention and revenue to your sport and the prizes will increase. Women don't even turn out to support women ... but somehow want the same income as men. Must be some effeminate men that supported this sharing formula

Peanut prize? Female football is little short of a poor joke. How many views globally do they command? How many fans travel to watch them? How much do they generate in ads placements and ticket sales? These are the factors that determine sports wage system.

This is feminist communism in practice. Being forced to share your legitimate earnings with loafers.

But to be sincere that their women team dey win world cup back to back, more formidable than the men in their women side

The question will be how much is that women wins really worth, may not be 1/4 of the men even without semi final

Lastly it's a fair way of helping women across the sports survive so far they admit they are been helped

Players can always get their individual royalties from private clubs
If USWNT feels they are so talented because they have won WWC four times, and should get equal pay with the USMNT. They should represent the US in the men's world cup and see if they won't be kicked out in the group stage, not to talk of getting to RO16. Even a direct match between the two national teams will settle the fracas quickly.

The USWNT desire to get equal pay with USMNT is fraud.

The women team are not generating so much like the men team.
It's to be shared.

Which is almost impossible...the male football is ahead for several reasons and that same reason will keep it ahead.

women's footbaoo money na chicken change, mainly because nobody likes to watch it, so low sponsorship makes their award little, if they share it with the men the men won't even use it to drink coke. But the men's money is in tens of millions of dollars, far outweigh women money and they earned it through their sweat why do they have to share it with the women.

It is not fair on the men. They should dig their hands on careers where women earn so much and make the women share the money with the men who earn less let us see how fair they are.

Feminism has become a joke and every right thinking man should reject this idea of men paying women when they men earn more but the women can't pay men when women earn more.

I'm proudly Nigerian where such mumu law no fit fly for our senate

But the thing is that female football will never gain head ...it will forever remain this way .... even in the next century....

U cant use the labour market and divorce system in us cos men and women work together , ...make and female football dont play Together...so its not possible....

May be nigeria should do the same for our national teams, after all, falcons don win 10 nations cup compared to 3 by eagles.
Didn't you read where U14 academy team of a club in America is defeating them scandalously, do you think the US National women's team that won the world can ever defeat the 4th eleven of Nigeria under 17 Golden Eaglets?

Don't you watch Wimbledon or the Women's Premier League? Have you not seen the turnout? That alone should tell you that women's sports are gradually growing.

Just last season, Arsenal shattered the women's transfer market. What the women's game needs most is sustained interest. Once the interest keeps growing, bigger TV rights deals and more sponsorships will naturally follow.
How can women football grow when a lot of them are openly gay and lesbians and straight ladies complain of being bullied and isolated in their camps because of this a lot of women don't want their daughters in these camps, this situation is not obtainable in men's football and that's why most women will rather go to men's football or basketball.

In the picture below US women soccer stars Ali Krieger and Ashlyn Harris getting married, do you think anyone wants to pay to watch these lesbians in USWMT play? It's like promoting feminism which many non woke Americans don't support.
Thats why they can't fill out a 5000 capacity stadium

Imagine Ronaldo or Messi kissing their fellow men in the Portugal or Argentina team as husband and husband in public like this.
