Those in VI, IKOYI and EKO ATLANTIC do not use " I better pass my neighbour" generator. Great idea from LASG but only few businesses within the aforementioned areas would benefit at a cost reflective tariff rates. Until a family in mushine, ojo, bariga or isolo is able to have uninterrupted power supply from the grid, the demon bedevelling the Nigeria's electricity sector will continue to torment the nation. I have given up hope on any illusion of having an uninterrupted power supply in Nigeria.

Imagine a Lagos where homes and businesses no longer depend on generators.

The Lagos State Government is quietly rolling out one of the biggest power reforms in Nigeria's history—from a 2,000MW electricity expansion to dedicated power plants for Victoria Island and an independent 24-hour power grid for Eko Atlantic.

Could this finally be the beginning of the end for "I pass my neighbour" generators?

More importantly, what does this mean for businesses, property prices, and everyday Lagosians?

We broke everything down in this video with facts, visuals, and simple explanations.

Do you think Lagos can truly solve its electricity problem, or is this just another promise? Let's discuss.
Has the state got been able to solve water problem? Drainage problem? Housing problem?

And those by products of our manifest olodo culturisation will be shouting tinubu should give them 24hrs electricity like he will just pul it out of his arse...... dey dia dey wait make tinubu give you 24hrs power, noh go ask your state gov what he is doing to leverage the power sector decentralisation act tinubu already put in place.

Abia, lagos, bayelsa are already trailblazers in this regard and the electricity act 2023 and the electricity amendment act 2024 & 2026 signed by tinubu has made this possible.
But una follow blame GEJ and Buhari for the same abi? grin
E reach una turn, una remember governors abi? Nah, Tinubu promised electricity and said if he doesnt deliver, we shouldnt elect him. When he made the promise, Buhari and his people already decentralized electricity. Tinubu has failed and we will hold him based on his promise.
Fashola said electricity is not rocket science and said they will fix it in 6 months as APC. It is almost 12 years, they havent fixed it. My generation is holding politicians accountable based on their promises, sir. grin

Wow electiciy for the very rich
Na so o. You know what’s up.

Collecting taxes from akara sellers and other extreme poverty paupers to fund their luxury lifestyle, instead of creating promised jobs for people to earn a living in dignity.

chisomkachy:
Nigerian President Bola Tinubu’s first supplementary budget includes a fleet of SUVs for himself and his wife, a presidential yacht and the renovation of his villa amid a cost-of-living crisis for some of the poorest people in the world.

The proposal — which seeks additional funding beyond the annual budget approved by Tinubu’s predecessor — comes as the government asks Nigerians to persevere through pain caused in part by a raft of economic reforms ushered in by the new president. Africa’s most populous country faces rampant unemployment, soaring food prices and a plummeting currency.

Federal lawmakers approved the president’s request for extra spending on Thursday, but eliminated the provision of 5 billion naira ($6.01 million) to buy a presidential yacht. Instead, they doubled the allocation to a student loan fund to 10 billion naira, according Abubakar Bichi, chairman of an appropriations committee in the House of Representatives.

The lawmakers approved 1.5 billion-naira proposed to purchase SUVs for the office of First Lady Oluremi Tinubu — an amount larger than that allocated to many individual federal colleges. The supplementary budget also proposes almost 6 billion naira to purchase SUVs for the presidency — more than the amount initially allocated to fund a student loan program for poor families.

Nothing is yet in ground but noise has filled the room. A typical nigerian politics. After 10 more years from now nothing to show still on this matter.

Tinibu then is the chief olodo because he promises to give 24hours power supply or be voted out.

Which 2 years? Something that has been in construction for many years. You make it look as if it was Otti that achieved it. Something that Berth Nnaji started under Jonathan and simply completed now. Abia success is due mostly to Jonathan govt that encouraged him and Buharis govt that refused to frustrate him. Otti has no hand in it. He is just a beneficiary of other peoples efforts.
