Lithiumite:But whose responsibility is it to provide power to the people? The people? What if the state government now brings out a law and mandates the local government to provide power? What if the local government now brings out a law, mandating the people to provide power for themselves? 😅😅😅 |

LadyNurladi:That an activity of a ministry which is the ministry of energy made a nairaland front page doesnt make it the government prority. Ministry of environment is managing flood. Allow the ministry of energy do its work or the ministry of energy should be scrapped because ministry of environment is facing flood challenge ? |

commoditiesnig:Buhari came and wasted the north eight years doing national government. See Emilokan stylishly developing Lagos and South West under the pretence of removing whatever from useless exclusive list. Remain four years highest. He who laugh last laugh best. The north will present a ruthless nepotistic individual who will turn Kano for example to a Dubai and economic hub for the entire West Sahara suburb. That individual that will take majority of Aso Rock offices to Kaduna under the pretence of former Nigeria administrative center. Then the Eastern Nigeria will be given the power to finish the remaining assignment of de-amalgamation of this contraption called Nigeria. |

My dear this is a priority .Top priority or Lagos better move to plan b which is strategies on handling flood disaster disasters.I understand you clearly but know that every state has a master plan and all sectors are interwoven to push that plan so whether we like it or not failure of a sector in an area has impacts directly or indirectly on other sectors Basic123: |

Wispower:Have you stopped wanting obi to be president after so many lies he has been caught telling......he has been boastful claiming waec made anambra number 1 when he was gov,but waec already came out to debunk it that there was nothing like ,what of the one he told about saving anambra state money but his 2 successors have both come out to debunk........didn't your obi come out and swore to with his life he wasn't going to ever leave apga. He is currently blowing hot air again that he would turn Nigeria to dubai in 4 years......is it then safe to say you will no longer support him? |

Nwaikpe:You guys just ineptly pick issues from the head and assume you have a proper understanding if the issues......your ignorance is made more glaring by your nebulous ability to properly get a hang of issues before commenting......has tinubu told you the fg has totally removed its hands from power sector.......that fg you see is still paying subsidy on that electricity you are using, making efforts to ensure power improves by enabling private capital to drive the sector as was tbe original plan of the gej power privatisation policy.......that same fg is building the AKK gas pipeline to the north to be able to provide gas to the north so it can boost the regions power generation capacity......yiu are ignorant of all these but would rather sit all day in those your propaganda WhatsApp groups and allow yourself to be lied to like a toddler. |

SeeWahala:Which governor Otti? It’s a privately owned by Bart Nnaji that has been there under Jonathan’s government. It was completed under Alex Otti government and there was some kind of collaboration. Lagos had a prototype different from that of Abia under Lateef Jakande’s government |

Nwaikpe:You are the one who is confused, has tinubu stopped paying your electricity subsidy, has he scrapped the ministry of power, has he stopped akk gas project.......you are the obtuse one here.. your gov has been giving the power to create and regularise power market in his state which wasn't possible before now, instead of you seeing it as a plus you keep ineptly calling tinubu.....same way you airheads were complaining that tinubu was sharing monies with govs, instead of you to ask the givs what they are doing with the monies, you are fighting tinubu for performing a constitutional responsibility.....joke is on you! |

LadyNurladi:If they are interwoven like you said, which I agree with, then all sectors must be given priority, that is what Lagos is doing. |

ariesbull:I doubt all of Aba has 24 hours power, they have the same band system as does the rest of the country. Only some parts get 24 hours power, the rest get 12-16 hours power. Also, all that good enough power comes at a very high price, even higher than what most discos pay,per band, and Prof doesn't think it is cost reflective. And yes, people protested that the prices were too 'high' despite them not being high enough to be considered a cost reflective tarrif for all. If you implemented Aba tarrif for the rest of the country, there would be protests nationwide. If everyone was made to pay what band A pay in ABa, again there would be protests. |

Lithiumite:Jumping up and down with words as “airheads,” like an angry kid. 😅😅😅 Somehow you think federal government (not Tinubu - dude hasn’t stolen enough yet) will be “paying subsidy,” while another arm of government will be “regulating sector.” What is power regulation sef? I bet you don’t know that it has less to do with production than it has to do with transmission and distribution. Also if you don’t know that, then it will be difficult to for you know that the controller of the grid is the regulator and there can never be a regulator without the control of the grid. You don’t know these kindergarten concepts but are fast to refer to people as “airheads.” 😅😅😅😅 |

greatiyk4u:Common sense should have informed you about the recent heavy downpour all over the place leading to massive flooding of most parts of the State, not just Ikorodu alone. How you expect a responsible authority of government to allow such area to be serviced by the grid providers in the face of fallen electricity poles, broken cables, submerged transformers and homes to say the least baffles one as if you're living in another planet. Looks like you'll rather have everybody in your location electrocuted for the sake of it. |
