He worked for 12 years before he married.

Instead of him to upgrade to degree for better opportunity.

Many monogamist has not even pay bride price and other marital rites of their wife.

Your example jumps to an extreme outlier to back up your argument. So Obasanjo, a three-time former president, is the best example you could come up with for your regular polygamist?

In a polygamous arrangement, the man usually has more kids than he can cater for, so the OP is right. Do not go into a marriage if you are still struggling, unless you are marrying above your class to improve yourself. Now, why would a struggling individual venture into polygamy?
