If you knew what you were talking about you would know that Enugu and Benue apart from sharing borders also share blood ties but no your childish tribalism will not let you see front
The same Enugu 2face and Blackface went to poly in
See ehn
Dem suppose give una chairman Mao treatment

You’re joking. Leave Benue State, let’s talk about Ebonyi that was carved out from Enugu and Abia State, having boundaries with Benue, Cross River, Abia and Enugu..,

Don’t most of you igbos ( from Anambra especially,) discriminate against your Ebonyi brothers?
I have heard a lot of Igbo guys refer to their Ebonyi brothers as the abokis of the south east. They look down on Abakaliki boys who mostly, are less arrogant and more accommodating than most of you who claim to be the main igbos.

Leave Benue having boundaries with Enugu. It’s a geopolitical phenomenon and has nothing to your credit or benevolence.

Talk about your own Ebonyi brothers and how you treat them.

Who is Moses Simon

Is he a Bible character or what exactly?

How can someone be Moses and Simon as in Simon Peter all at the same time?

That's quite ridiculous

Daft statement. How can someone say this in public?

Ai has replied you

Rangers International FC of Enugu has never been an exclusively Igbo team, although it has traditionally had a strong Igbo identity. Over the decades, the club has signed players from many parts of Nigeria.

Current non-Igbo players (2025/26–2026 squad)

Based on the current squad, identifiable non-Igbo players include:

Lucky Jimoh – Goalkeeper (Yoruba, Kwara State)

Abdullateef Ishola – Goalkeeper (Yoruba)

Godwin Asiriuwa – Midfielder (Edo)

There are also a few players whose names do not clearly indicate Igbo origin, but their ethnic backgrounds are not publicly documented, so it would be speculative to classify them.

Notable non-Igbo players who have played for Rangers

Some well-known examples include:

Christian Pyagbara – Bayelsa (Ijaw) – Striker

Godwin Obaje – Benue (Idoma) – Striker and league top scorer

Tope Olusesi – Ogun (Yoruba) – Midfielder

Osas Okoro – Edo – Winger

Ayo Saka – Ogun (Yoruba) – Defender

Bashir Usman – Northern Nigeria – Midfielder

Kabiru Balogun – Northern Nigeria – Defender

Ismaila Gata – Plateau (Berom) – Forward.

Rangers has also had players from Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Edo, Benue, Plateau, Bayelsa, and Yoruba-speaking states at various times, especially since the professional league era began in the 1990s.

Historically, while Rangers was founded as a symbol of post-civil-war Igbo resilience, the club has recruited on merit and has featured successful non-Igbo players for decades.
Okoro – Edo – Winger

But Okoro is not an Edo name

Moses Simon, normally you sef no say you no really sabi play ball like that.

Na speed you just get, 1 vs 1 for wing facing defenders, you become confused and start passing the ball to your defenders.

You dey kill attacking vibe most times.

The Pan Nigeria club in those days that have help a lot non indigene players was Stationary Stress of Lagos. In those Nigeria club side were a marvel to behold
Go back to that thread, somebody has already mentioned all the Yorubas and non-Igbos currently playing in Rangers.

Go and read it, appraise it and applaud it, if you are really objective as you are posing to be.

They will use all their energy to change the story to something else.

Unrepentant tribalists
All the juicy positions have been filled by Yorubas appointed by Tinubu another Yoruba man.

Are you trying to say there are no qualified people from the east or ss to occupy those seats? Why must it be a Yoruba, if not tribalism?

Very good findings, you did a wonderful job. But when it comes to other things negative about other regions hope you will do same as you have done on this.

Dont let it be other way round
Every region should defend themselves. I an sure they are all capable enough to do that.

I don't get it when a player like Moses Simon comes out on a public forum to make this kind of comment. It's only an idiot that never played football, went for screening will take Simom comment hook and sinker. I have personally known players in my neighbourhood who we played together as youths, who latter played for Rangers and Enyimba. Is Ebenezer Ojo and Dare Ojo Igbos?
For those who had experience club screening, we always know some players come with a note, while some don't and if you are competing with such players, you better be extra ordinarily good. Even in the national teams, it happens. Many dynamics could have worked against him but he finds it convenient to narrow it to tribalism. So Davidson Owumi, Rangers legend who has been working for the club in different capacities since retirement is Igbo abi? Common sense no common sha.
Well said! Well said!🤝

If he said this about other regions, you will not be reasoning like this.
There are many issues like this in Nigeria on daily basis and you people always believe them as long as it paints others in bad light.
But the moment that bad news is about you people, then you start to use your logical sense, asking for evidence.
Start doing the same when it about other people from other regions too then we might start to take you people seriously. Until then, all we see is HYPOCRISY.
You people? There is no correlation between what I said and the epistle you wrote here. Please take this your response to you people, I don't operate in that niche. Thanks

Enugu rangers need to come and debunk this nonsense quickly
The annoying part of all these is that the player himself is from Benue, a state where Igala igbos reside
To make matters worse Davidson Owumi was in charge of Rangers during this period so this nonsense would never have taken place
This is just a bunch of lies

Get over it..
My cousin has tried to be recruited by Rangers for years but they never signed him. He is at Enugu as we speak, and he is a full blooded igbo btw. ..

That you became a good player later in life, doesn't mean you were good at the time you were with them. Rangers as a club has helped lots of non igbo players to the top.. As at today, a lot of their players and recent managers are not even igbos.

Taribo West is not igbo, he played for Rangers and became a Super Eagles player. The list is endless. Yall should get off the igbo mans dikc..
And to Moses and his cat legs..,Make we hear word ahbegi..
you call only one person and say the list is endless.are ok.

We wont get over your foolish tribalism. We will continue to talk about it again n again for posterity knowing how you love to twist facts n history.

The man as said his piece, live with it. He said his experience not yours nor that of your brother. No one cares about your own experience or that of your brothers.
Unfortunately, you can't beat a child and tell him not to cry....

The statement is a sensitive statement which needs to be critically handled because hatred for a tribe can spring up so many Nonsense from a player who should know what to say in public and not what to say....

The man simply hates Igbos but tackling it from the wrong side which has become his weakness ....

For you, I can smell the same hatred which has overpowered your sense of neutral reasoning...

Exactly, so what's the point of Moses huh May be Enugu Rangers noticed he came with rat poison and they told him he can't play for them just as the hatred is boiling hard in you....

[quote author=chopnaira post=139983035] is arrant nonsense. Lots of non- IGBOS, have both played in and coached the team, so why are you so special that they will reject you because you are not Igbo?
Stop this stupid talk. You are not good, fit and proper to be signed in the team, that was the reason they rejected you, not your tribe.
With your form now, go to the team from your tribe, let's see how they will sign you..
Just want to give the club a bad name and call the IGBOS tribalists.

Must every player be selected? how good was he then? That he is an international average player now doesn't mean he was better than the selected Rangers FC players then,if really he made this statement that shows low he reasons,he is almost arriving to his retirement with no international trophy 🏆 for Nigeria,he is only busy being a content creator
