It's good they realized the Truth that they can't be gay and still be following Jesus at the same time, so had to choose one and let go of the other.

It wouldn't have been an easy decision for them to let go, having lived that homosexual lifestyle and been in that relationship for several years.

However regardless, they choose (to follow) Jesus and quit their same-sex relationship.

May God who they've chosen to forsake their old lifestyle to follow, give them them the grace they need to follow Him to the end. In Jesus name!
