Football should be all about the money especially as you get towards your 30s.

At the current exchange rate, US$11,000 per month is approximately ₦15.2 million per month (about ₦15,197,900).

To put that into perspective:

Monthly: ≈ ₦15.2 million
Yearly: ≈ US$132,000, which is about ₦182.4 million at today's exchange rate

Does anybody have an idea how much he is being paid per month?I know it's not easy for goal keepers from Africa to get professional contract in Developed European leagues,but Nwabali has been Nigerian number 1 keeper for over 2 years now and i am surprised he hasn't joined a decent club in Europe.

This is aside bonuses and other endorsement.

He has no option but to return to his former team as no other clubs are interested in him.

I just checked it on Google myself and I think that salary is impressive.He is unlikely to get that salary in laliga 2 and series b.its now i understand his situation.

South Africa 🇿🇦 is saying to come with normal papers if you want to come but they don’t know they have even more death of people in S.A that came with even normal papers, I was this close going to South Africa but I changed my mind. 👍

Clubs in Europe mostly favor players/keepers younger.

From what I have learnt despite playing in SA, he earns more than some Nigerian goalkeepers in Europe, etc, including Maduka Okoye.

Maduke can only earn better if he joins Juventus or sign an improved contract with Udinese.

That's not possible,Okoye earns more than 3x Nwabali salary.There is no player in serie a with a professional contract that earns below €10k per week.

He might be there for six months or one year and then move.

He too act wise. No modern club will want to buy a goalkeeper who "abandons" his team mid season. It was very unprofessional of him to do.

He could have feigned injury or anything else.

Goalie with a decent value is trying to improve his wages to help his family and someone just chooses to write anything. Nwabali believes he is a valuable goalie, the opportunities are just not there for Nigerian born and raised footballers in other continents

With his temperament and most if the irrational actions ,it will be a miracle for any European club to sign him

Who says he's a good goalkeeper? If you understand football well, you'd know this guy Nwabali has a very poor sense of judgement on the pitch. He's just overrated. In fact he's one of the worst goal keepers that have manned the goal posts for Nigeria. The fact that no club, not even lowly rated clubs, wants to sign him proves all that. After this goalkeeper who had leukaemia and retired early (the one who took over from Vincent Enyeama), Nigeria has never had any goalkeeper. We've just been lucky to escape maulings since then.
