The Federal Government has suspended the proposed review of registration fees for the 2027 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) and the National Examinations Council (NECO) Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE). The government stressed that no adjustment to examination fees would take effect until discussions with stakeholders are concluded.

Is the government intentionally bringing all these policies to gauge the reaction of the masses? First it was NYSC adire, now this. There are countless others I can't remember. From my observation, expect all these policies to be fully implemented if the President wins again. He is only testing waters now. |

I like how Nigerians are uniting against the impunity in this govt. If we can sustain this unity beyond politics and ethnicity, no government will take Nigerians for granted. |

The biggest scam govt. they already gave us a flash. Tinubu go suffer Nigerians if he mistakenly enter again. Let’s be guided. Na over 100k this form go be in his first year of second term. These are signs. Value of education will be drastically reduced and more akara sellers and poorer masses with poor mindset will be growing. That’s their plans |

Just like kids...they always need scolding and schooling to differentiate what's right from what's wrong and what's sense from what's nonsense.... that's whom y'all call your leaders peeps. |

Tifnubu is not wise. Someone who didn't attend primary school and secondary only to emerge as president through Muslim Muslim ticket with the help of 12 million illiterate voters can't reason clearly when it comes to education. |

Clueless government. They act before they think. And they do so boldly because it costs them only N30,000 to have some urrrchins online, defending their mistakes. ![]() |

Zayttoven:Going by past experience, don’t be surprised if the dollar climbs to ₦1,800–₦2,000 or even higher, and fuel rises to around ₦1,500 per litre. The current restraint may not necessarily be because they want to ease people’s suffering, but because another election is ahead. If a second term is secured, Nigerians should be prepared for the possibility of even tougher policies. I remember my days at LASU. When the school fees were increased, students protested and the management assured us they would review the decision. We thought we had succeeded. But immediately after they secured a second term, they announced there was “no going back”, the fee increase would remain. Many students were forced to drop out because they could no longer afford it. This was a public university. It remains one of the clearest examples, to me, of how policy decisions can profoundly affect ordinary people. |

Zayttoven:The same Government that has deployed their data boys to defend why the fee needs to be hiked. Some of the defense is that people should start using their money to sponsor secondary students |

They think they can throw everything at the masses and they'd take it just like that. The masses have the voice. They'd learn better next year. I know they're counting on rigging and booting out the key contenders in order to retain power but they'll fail Yesterday it was about frying corn and kulikuli to survive and today its waec fee hike when most west african nations who are not as rich as Nigeria made it free for their citizens to alleviate sufferings of their people. This administration has scored beyond A1 in corruption and cruelty. To those defending this heinous act here yesterday, where's your conscience.? |
