There are more homeless people in the US than there are in Nigeria.

This is a pointer that the US has a serious housing crisis driving by home owners blocking new developments because it will see to house prices crashing.

You also have institutional investors like BlackRock buying up family homes and their debt and artificially inflating cost of the houses they acquired so that their portfolio will increase and see to soaring artificially driven share prices and asset valuation.

Even Trump stated that high cost of houses is a good thing because of home prices crashes , boomers will see to their networth dropping.

How capitalists can that be?

Now compare it with the Chinese housing sector which is not only booming in development but also new buyers because the CCP kicked out western capitalists who wanted to make housing a privilege .

The CCP declared housing a right which is not the same principle that they have in the west where housing is a privilege on rent meaning you never own the home you bought and will pay mortgages for the next 50ys ensuring you work until you drop dead to pay it off and you will be saddled with county taxes for same property, HOA fees and Draconian regulations and huge annual home insurance payouts.

Buying a home in the US is not for shelter but as an investment that you hope to pass the cost to the next generation of first time buyers.

You are mentioning major cities across the US like it is anywhere else in the world. There are lots of cities you can get lesser rent. Arkansas, Oklahoma, North Dakota to name a few you can get studio apartments (selfcon) in Arkansas for less than $1k and a 3 bedroom apartment for about $1,504 similar to a lot of other cities across. Even in that same New York, certain places like the Bronx you can still get relatively cheaper housing which are still very good and the difference is their minimum wages can actually cover these compared to here where you are compelled to pay annually so the difference is too clear and besides the minimum wages over there varies by location. For example minimum wage in California is almost $3k so unlike here where a person working and living in Lekki, VI, maitama Asokoro, Ugbekun, Upper sakponba might earn same minimum wages if they work same job at same organizations except it's a high paying govt job or private contract. Like a public school teacher in VI earns same wages as one in mushin with same grade level so it can never be balanced

If the door was locked from inside and the windows has burglary protection and there's no way the ceiling can be opened. If the autopsy proves no foul play then it's what it is. Do you even know a door can be locked from outside while the keys are inside? Try am with your door, leave the keys in from inside and use the spare to lock it outside. You just slide it in gently not forcefully and not all the way through No let men find you. That door confirmation doesn't hold much water anymore. An autopsy is very important
