This are some of the reason why some product stores are not shipping to Nigeria again - I see “we can’t ship to your region” quite often now - unless it’s a choice item.

May God help us.
Yes. Most official phone stores no longer ship to Nigeria Been buying Xiaomi phones on AliExpress since 2016 now none of the big stores that sell them ship to Nigeria. Bought Xiaomi tabs from 2 stores late last year and none of those stores now ship to Nigeria. Ordered for an Anker Speaker from Euty store in March and had to request for a refund after the buyer protection expiration. They have since also stopped shipping to Nigeria.

It's a sad development and many more stores will sadly join as refunds keeps pilling up.

Did they call you or something? Or did it just recently arrive your post office?

The tracking number for that item, would not be even available on AliExpress. Most certainly be notification from PO.

Eufy official
Anker official
Mi global store
Xiaomi authorized store
Memall
Hong Kong goldway
Poco online store.
Tronsmart official
Lenovo online store
Lenovo legion

Just some I can remember.
Funny enough, most of this stores still ship to neighboring African country.
It started with battery, and power bank, now phones and gadgets. A total exclusion might follow next

Please I Need Advice on an AliExpress Return & Refund Dispute

I need some advice regarding an AliExpress dispute because I'm not sure what to do next.

I bought a replacement phone screen on AliExpress. When it arrived, I connected it to test it, and it worked normally, so I went ahead and installed it permanently on my phone. However, after about two or three days of use, the screen started developing faults. It began flickering, showing display issues, and eventually became unusable.

I opened a dispute on AliExpress and explained that the screen was defective. The seller initially offered me a partial refund without returning the item, but I declined because I paid for a fully functional screen and didn't think it was fair to lose part of my money for receiving a defective product.

After that, the seller insisted that I remove the screen and return it for a full refund. I explained several times that removing a fully installed screen is risky because phone screens are attached with strong adhesive. Trying to remove it can easily crack or damage the screen, even if you're careful.

Despite my explanation, AliExpress stepped in and ruled that I must return the screen before I can get a refund. The dispute page no longer gives me any option to explain my situation—it only asks me to upload a tracking number after returning the item.

My concerns are:

- The screen may get damaged while removing it, and the seller could refuse the refund because it is damaged.
- International return shipping from Nigeria to China is very expensive.
- I paid for a working screen, but the product turned out to be defective after installation.

Has anyone experienced a similar situation with AliExpress? Is there any way to get AliExpress to review or change the decision at this stage? Has anyone successfully convinced them to issue a refund without requiring a return?

I'd really appreciate any advice or suggestions from people who have gone through something similar.

Thank you.

Returning will cost more.
Should have negotiated for a better cut in partial refund.
At this point, you might just have to count your loss

Yes, I got a call from them. I was very surprised because I haven't ordered anything recently, and then I checked, and it was earbuds I ordered two years back, which I was even refunded for.

Did they call you or something? Or did it just recently arrive your post office?[/quote]

Anyone buying from AliExpress with Nipost as local courier is just wasting his/her time.

Here is a personal advice.
If you urgently need the item and it's only AliExpress that have it.
Get any relative or trusted contact you have in any neighboring country(Ghana, Togo, or Benin). Use their address and order,(delivery is usually 2-3 weeks)Once the item arrives ship it down to Nigeria via GIG.

Will cost extra, but you're guaranteed to get your item
What about using a freight forwarder?
You ship to a logistics company in china and they send it you in Nigeria.

For phones, tablets, and other gadgets, might not be possible except you have a forwarder in Hong Kong,as most of them operate in Hong Kong.

IDEA: This thread and forum is a tool powerful enough to draft and sign a class petition to the Minister of Communications,

Cc:
1. Postmaster General of NIPOST

2 Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC)

3 National Assembly Committee on Communications

4. ICPC/EFCC

Then reach out to activists about this NIPOST/CUSTOMS madness of stealing phones and parcels on arrival.
The evidence we have is indicting enough and we can do something about it!

Lets discuss.

While you are at it, you might as well start a class petition about corruption at Aso rock, contract inflation and budget padding at the national Assembly. Don't forget atrocious billing by the discos, price gouging at petrol stations and supermarkets, Yahoo yahoo by the youths, predatory pricing at the market and artisans who disappear with your money.
Theft at nipost is symptomatic of the nations thievery and pilfering habits. You cannot just single out one organization when the whole country is of a criminal disposition. Nigeria is more or less a criminal enterprise.

Has anyone ever claimed a warranty from a seller? Last year i bought some wireless earbuds, and i just noticed the right one's battery has started to go bad. After chatting with the seller they are saying that they cannot send a replacement product, but they are willing to give me 20% of the cost of the item as refund

All my orders from March couriered through Malaysia Post has been delivered. Had to reach out to vendors to sort of payments has I'd already received refunds.

I guess those with pending orders should be on the lookout.
