Abayomi Arabambi, a member of the Labour Party National Working Committee aligned with the Julius Abure faction, has called on Peter Obi to step aside as the NDC presidential candidate for the 2027 elections, alleging that he has documents which he claims contain evidence of corruption and should be made public before the election.

Speaking during an interview on Symfoni TV, Arabambi said he intends to release the documents through the television station and maintained that Nigerians should have the opportunity to examine the information before Peter Obi seeks to contest as the NDC presidential candidate in the 2027 presidential election.

"I have more than 95% of corruption made by Peter Obi, and he must step aside from this presidential election because he only asked for 1%. But what I'm going to show Nigerians via your television station will be so alarming. They are facts, they are CTCs, I am not a baby."

Arabambi said the documents would be presented at the appropriate time and urged Nigerians to evaluate the information based on the evidence he intends to provide while his remarks have continued to generate discussions among political observers ahead of the 2027 general elections.
