Is T2 Mobile (9mobile) Dead? Are They Making Profit? by jmoore(op): 8:00pm On Jul 11
T2mobile is just being run like NNPC refineries.

I wonder if they are making any profit at all.

Most recharge card sellers are not selling their cards and banks, online platforms do not vend their cards.

Most of these sellers made losses when t2mobile had no network access as the cards became useless. After they reached agreement with mtn on roaming so mtn could give them network, most of the sellers do not want to stock t2mobile recharge card again.

This a private company owned by Nigerians, and they are running it down like NNPC refineries.

They are still in existence. You can even register their sim but since Etisalat left, it has been difficult for them to meet the standard set by etisalat

The yeye man that bought it doesn't even have the financial muscle to run the company

What is actually happening with that network, called Etisalat?

Etisalat, my first love. My first SIM card till today. Unfortunately, I had to replace them with another network since they went offline for almost two years. Not my fault

And some people like Adams Oshiomole want Nigerian government to takeover MTN, when Nigerians can't even run t2mobile/9mobile(etisalat) well.

My line is still active, I still recharge on it from time to time to keep it active but I hardly use it anymore. The moment they switched to T2 from 9mobile, they scrapped recharge bonus and reduced their data allocation. As at the time of my last subscription, their data was more expensive than MTN data. If not for the sentimental attachment I have for all my lines, I would have thrown away the sim.

Etisalat was my main line when I was in the UAE. I got back to Nigeria and continued using the network but since the takeover, it's been extremely awful. I doubt they can even pay their staff.
Re: Is T2 Mobile (9mobile) Dead? Are They Making Profit? by Personperson01: 7:31am On Jul 14
Fair enough for them but still slow to grapple Nigerian failure in infrastructure and industrialization when it comes at scale on such level. Slow due to many Nigerian economic factors.
As a matter of fact I went to their office with my PUK to retrieve a line I have been using for a while with my NIN but was told to come back again due to network failure.
After going again in another separate office hoping to find solution but was told to buy another simcard. Felt so bad coz I used to the number and was hoping it's a matter of retrieval since it has not even been reissued to anyone.
Business models kinda collapsed and investment need true management by people who know exactly what they are doing.

Honestly, I wonder. I have stopped hearing about them for quite some time now. I think they were using MTN network for a while before.

Please who has info on NTEL ? Have they resumed operations ?

You can just port the number to another network. I've done same from 9mobile to MTN and kept the same number.

My wife has 9mobile recharge cards she bought last year, she's not been able to sell till today. That how her money went down the drain.

The ones that customers manage to buy, they end up returning them, complaining of recharge challenges.
Re: Is T2 Mobile (9mobile) Dead? Are They Making Profit? by Nickisindigo(m): 7:42am On Jul 14
Am thinking of porting my to another network since it's the number that have my life details on it, if not that I live in ikorodu for sometime it would have been blocked

Re: Is T2 Mobile (9mobile) Dead? Are They Making Profit? by Gbogboski: 7:51am On Jul 14
During the dark days of Buhari mismanagement of Nigeria, Etisalat left and the company was bought by Isa Funtua probably with funds from the Buhari cabal. He completely ran the country aground.

The damage the Buhari administration inflicted on Nigeria will be made manifest in the fullness of time. Tinubu promise to continue from where Buhari stopped, and he's keeping to his promise.
