greatiyk4u:Your hypocrisy stinks to the high heavens See person wey dey ask for Hausa Christians to be given governors but totally denies the existence of Igbo Muslims not to mention making Igbo Muslims governors. Bitterness and hatred have pushed you to totally deny the existence of Igbo Muslims but you will accept the existence of Hausa Christians. You want Igbo to be governor in Lagos but insulted the living day lights out of the Hausa man that picked councilor forms in the south east. You can't take a fraction of what you dish out. |

stuffs2002:I don't think there's any south-east states where the Christian population is less than 95%. So, it's a matter of which religion is predominant in each state. In Nigeria as a whole is the Muslim population predominant like that? Emphatic no! That's why his choice is being criticised. As I said in my earlier post, this choice is a political strategy! No more, no less. We all witnessed the competence of Oshinbajo when Buhari was sick. I remember one PDP stalwart saying on the television that Buhari should stay where he was while Oshinbajo should continue. In which capacity has Shettima demonstrated competence? Mind you, l'm not a fan of religion first in everything. I choose capacity. This Tinubu's move is a political strategy at this time when his popularity in the North is waning. A Christian Vice will draw the anger of the North against him. |

seunmsg:This should only tell you if you are honest that Igbos mostly do not play tribal politics. The Philip Umeadi was an igbo man. Igbos prioritized a ticket that promoted national unity. Igbos more than any other ethnicity have over the years invested in the unity of Nigeria |

You see how easy it was for you to quickly align Benue, Nasarawa, Plateau Adamawa which are predominantly Christian states as Northern states because they have Muslim governors.. Imagine having a state having a opulation 10 million and out of that 3 million are Muslims yet everytime a Muslim must be the governor of the state. When was the last time Kaduna ever had a Christian governor or Deputy governor? You people know how to serve what you can't eat... You know how to give what you can't take.... Imagine a country where the President and vice President are Muslims yet the issue you have is Southern states did not include a Muslim candidate in their hierarchy. Can you allow a Christian Christian presidency? stuffs2002: |

Scholarforlife:Your hypocrisy stinks. Osinbajo was probably the biggest bigot to have ever been in the presidency. Osinbajo was not efficient in anyway. He was only a very anti Islamic person who used his position as acting president to attack and remove Muslims holding sensitive positions and replaced them with RCCG pastors. Go back and look at all the people Osinbajo appointed were all pastors at RCCG even to the extent of traditional ruler that he influenced their appointments were all RCCG pastors. Osinbajo said it on national TV that he will ensure Christianity is spread all over the country. You keep lying to yourself that you don't care about religion but still goes ahead to defend religious bigotry. Your claim that Christianity dominates in Igboland which is why there are no Muslim deputy governors but is Islam not also the dominant religion in the north? Yet you are crying that there are no Christian deputy governors in the north. This is not even true because there are governors and deputy governors in the north who are Christians You can't take a fraction of what you want to dish out The Hausa man that pasted posters for councillor in the south east was thoroughly insulted for daring to paste poster in the south east yet Igbos want to be governor in Lagos state |

LLMG:There is nothing like middle belt in Nigeria so stop advertising your ignorance. There are nineteen northern states in Nigeria. |

3Ceagle:This is the hypocrisy we are talking about. You want one rule for everyone but yourselves. You want Igbo governor in Lagos but insulted the single Hausa man that picked a councillor for in the south east. You want Christians as deputy governors in the north but when I asked you to replicate same in the south east you started dancing like village masquerade |

Atlantis585:Does it matter? See this kind hypocritical talk I already listed the deputy governors in the north who are Christians. Please list the Muslim deputy governors in the south east |

stuffs2002:Your argument is faulty. Democracy is a game of numbers. If Sokoto can not have a Christian deputy governor why should you expect Abia to have a Muslim deputy governor? But can you use the same analogy for Nigeria as a whole? No because Nigeria as a whole isn't dominated in the same way as it is in those states by Christianity or Islam. Bring all governors and deputy governors out and take a census. However a Muslim Muslim presidency can only be possible easily if the President is Yoruba and a Christian Christian can be possible if the President is Northern supported by the Yoruba. Muslims in Nigeria can be higher in population but not seventy percent. This is because the SW and NW are over sixty percent of the population and their combined population will have majority Muslim. The rest of Nigeria is less than forty percent of the total and that less than forty percent is majority Christian. |

Yes. The other Christian will be a northerner based on status quo. |
| Re: Can There Ever Be A Christian - Christian Presidential Ticket In Nigeria? by Nefort: 11:09am On Jul 15 |
stuffs2002:Then prove to me that the Muslim population in Nigeria is 70%. How did you arrive at that figure? |
| Re: Can There Ever Be A Christian - Christian Presidential Ticket In Nigeria? by LLMG: 11:40am On Jul 15 |
stuffs2002:Keep holding on to your illusion, the middle belt will surely free themselves from the bigoted north someday, they don't want you to keep exploiting and killing them in the name of northern Nigeria. |

stuffs2002:What population of SE are Muslims? Less than 1% - and that is not because of oppression. That is called wisdom. As a matter of fact, I don’t even know a single Igbo Muslim in entire SE. Keep your religion of terror up North along with your deputy governorships. |

stuffs2002:Sometimes I will read some comments in Nairaland and wonder if some of that made the comments are always intoxicated with Kai Kai when they put up such shitty write-up. They are talking about the Nigeria State that has predominantly christians in the South and moslems in the North and this one is here talking about a subregion that probably has no moslem as citizens to be the deputy governor. Are the Deputies governor in Borno, Katsina,Niger,Kano and Zamfara Christians? If your answer is no,then you lack the requisite knowledge to engage in this type of national discourse. Too poor reasoning and analogy. |

lawani:Your hypocrisy stinks. Did any Sokoto person ever asked for Igbos to elect Muslims as deputy governor? Was it not your people asking for Christians as deputy governors in the north before I asked Igbos to first elect Muslims as deputy governors first because charity begins at home. You can't take a fraction of what you dish out. You want what you cannot give |
