Egypt had practically won their game too till they chose to take their feet off the gas and pull men back.

Even in club games, when you take a lead against strong attacking teams like Barcelona, Man City or PSG, you don't cower back to defend for the lead, not when it's a lone goal.

Tuchel had the personnel to keep the game flowing till the end but chose self-destruction.

Argentina were something else from 80mins above. Tuchel got his tactics wrong by going defensive. They should have been more offensive.

Mumu Coach with his dumbass tactics. Tuchel just ruined England's greatest opportunity to make it to the final since 1966.
Their attackers were just wasting away on the bench. They practically stopped trying to attack Argentina after that goal by Gordon. Keeper just dey launch long balls anyhow like rugby, unnecessarily losing possession to Argentina.
I shame for Tuchel and his England team. They were so pathetic tonight. France is going to further disgrace them in the 3rd place match on Saturday.
Well, congrats to Argentina. They're worthy finalist.

They were knocking on the door after the hydration break and yet Tuschel refused to substitute Anderson who was on a yellow with a capable midfielder.
This Tuschel should be investigated.

1. Egypt was very very weak v argentina. They tried to defend a two goal lead against argentina. You don't do that. It's only Italy that plays that kind of football, and even then it sometimes backfires on them.

2. At the end, England is not good enough really. Never has been. It's been said over and over again. Even with Premier league, most of the guys in the top teams in the Premiership are foreigners. Including people from Argentina. And yeah, that tends to weaken the national team

Still, that's a first semifnal from the coach at his first attempt. Not bad. the late Robson took eight years to get to the semis of a world cup as coach of England. Tuchel did it on his first try. (So also did Southgate.).

But england don't have good enough players. Again, it's been said over and over again over the years. Good, but not good enough.

Argentina take football also more seriously than many other countries....like I said, compare Argentina's olympic medal haul since 1948 vs the UK. You go see something.
