"Tinubu not Perfect; Nigerians should give him more time before Judging his Policies, Reforms: Jide Kosoko

Veteran Nollywood actor Jide Kosoko has defended President Bola Tinubu’s administration, saying the president is not God and deserves more time to fix the country. He urged Nigerians not to judge his reforms prematurely.[ib]

[b]In an interview with FeelrightnewsTV, the actor spoke in response to questions concerning the growing public criticism against the Tinubu administration, advising Nigerians to have confidence in the president’s policies and reforms.

The actor argued that it was unfair to judge the Tinubu administration before it had fully completed the implementation of policies and reforms, likening the government to a building under construction and warning against reaching conclusions before the completion of the structure.

“If you are building a house, you cannot assess such a building and give it a pass mark until the building is completed, ” Mr Kosoko said.

The actor acknowledged that Mr Tinubu is not perfect, insisting that no leader is, stating “Bola Ahmed Tinubu is not God. That means he cannot be perfect.”

He alleged that opposition groups and activists were influencing younger Nigerians, particularly Gen Z, on public criticisms of the Tinubu administration.

Mr Kosoko stated, “Let me tell you, what those opposing Tinubu are projecting for you to say is what you will be saying. What they have crafted that they want you to carry in your head is what you will carry. They know you, Gen Z, you are easy to manipulate and control. Once they control you, you will all go on overdrive.

“The so-called activists, we know how they take money from government but come out to influence citizens. But when we talk, they accuse us of taking money to support the government. As if we don’t have a mind of our own, as if we don’t have family members suffering or as if we are enjoying well.”

Despite defending the Tinubu administration, he also noted the economic hardship Nigerians are facing, saying that even if the government plans to distribute money to Nigerians, it would be a foolish move given the country’s large population.

Meanwhile here is the same hypocrite back then when things have not gone this terribly bad. Parochial ethno-religio-regional bigotry and tribalism is the bane of this contraption of a nation.

There are a lots of wicked souls in this country today. Thank goodness, posterity and history have unravelled some of these hypocrites for who they never were.

The man who shouted "Emi Lokan" is now President. Leadership often comes with responsibility, policy formulation and implementation are his duties.

Success belongs to him when things go right, and failure belongs to him when things go wrong. The issue is not whether challenges existed before tinubu took office. Every govt inherits problems.

The real question is whether the promises made during the campaign have translated into measurable improvements in security, economic stability, job creation, poverty reduction, and the quality of life for ordinary nigerians. Of course all the indices have worsened badly under Tinubu.

Does he need eternity?

His tenure is 4 years and he has performed well below average.

Even Buhari 8 years no hard reach Bulaba 3 years.

Jide Kosoko, you and your fellow film men were at Ojota in 2012 asking for Jonathan to leave office even when he has just been in office for about 2 years and was performing way better than Tinubu can ever. Tinubu has been in office for over 3 years now.

Stop the hypocrisy old man.

This fat f**king bleached tribal bigot. Why didn't you allow Jonathan to complete his tenure so we will see his good and hard work thereafter? You with your uncontrollably mouth was in the forefront against Jonathan, and now you are begging Nigerians to allow your brother to continue with the worst government in Nigeria.

Same period of time, ke?
Jonathan's administration commenced in 2010. The Occupy Nigeria protests that was sponsored by Bola Tinubu started January 2012....... Just 2 years

Politics has really exposed a lot of people and shown their true nature. Generally, a lot of people in the society are just wicked and selfish.
Re: Tinubu Not Perfect; Give Him More Time - Jide Kosoko by Ofunaofu:
Jide Kosoko, thank you.

Tinubu doesn't need eternity

four years is enough for Tinubu.

Tinubu should be thanking Nigerians for giving him four years. He should also apologize for wasting that time and tell Nigerians that he will not seek re-election because the four years they gave him are enough, perhaps even more than enough

If he has been given 27 years in Lagos, and all he does is raise taxes to steal instead of employing well paid workers to make government services and utilities available for all, then why give him more time in Abuja?

What is the wisdom of reinforcing failure at the federal level huh
Re: Tinubu Not Perfect; Give Him More Time - Jide Kosoko by iwaeda: 10:18am On Jul 16

did U say that about Jonathan?
jide thinks we don't know what he's after, election is by the corner, he needs a call from tinubu to help him campaign,
why not say this during Jonathan?
Re: Tinubu Not Perfect; Give Him More Time - Jide Kosoko by sekeyso(m): 10:23am On Jul 16
Give him more time to waste? The world is not waiting for us oh.
We don't have any more time to give Apc, they've degraded the quality of life of Nigerians that people are now working/hustling only to just feed. We've never had it this nau.

Oga Jide you sef is your life better now than before APC happened? Tribal and sentimental consideration aside, Tinubu doesn't deserve another term.
Re: Tinubu Not Perfect; Give Him More Time - Jide Kosoko by tuoyoojo(m): 10:24am On Jul 16
This goes to show how some Nigerians can be very hypocritical

Did he give good luck more time in 2010

Are things not worse than compared to good luck's time. Did they not carry a make shift coffin wishing death upon him

Well, what do I know.

What money cannot buy, more money and tribalism can buy
