My issue with these policies is that it's still same citizens and common man, including Christian citizens, that will suffer it, not the politicians and government officials. The government politicians that abet these killings really don't need these aid monies because they have other means of siphoning monies from sources other than US aids. I expected that the US would rather have come up with policies that will directly target these politicians and government officials who aid these killings including use of military force and actions. Suspending aid would not even move or affect the government one bit and to me, is a very very ineffective approach

This is good... We as Africans must learn to be self reliant... It's this attitude of giving and taking that makes the Usa think it can interfere in the affairs of other countries... USA is a sovereign country just like other countries in the world... As long as others don't interfere in their affairs.. They should allow other nations sort out themselves....

That being said... African leaders must rise up to the challenge and protect its people from terrorists who seek to destroy the country....

They should put their political differences and interests aside and secure the lives of the people first before any other thing... Na who dey alive dey use roads, bridges and dey get access to student loans....
The government of Africa as a whole must learn to depend on itself for security, survival and sustainability...

I like the interest USA is showing on the attack by the islamic jihadists against christians in Nigeria but this blanket punishment doesn't help, it's like punishing both the innocent and the guilty together, instead America should try identify and target those individuals and groups within the country and their outside collaborators,aiding, abetting, supporting and sympathetic to those Islamic jihadists.

In my view, the U.S. government is making a mistake by pursuing broad aid cuts. Such measures often place the greatest burden on ordinary citizens including the Nigeria Christians they're trying to fight for, who rely on essential services, while political leaders are far less likely to feel the immediate impact. A more targeted approach that holds those responsible accountable without harming vulnerable people would be more effective.
