Lies? Did I make those statements on behalf of Obiano? Or obidients have a different way of defining lies?

Can you show where Obiano recanted that statement himself? Do not show me when someone else made the statement, because I believe you want to refer to what someone else said during the commissioning of the airport
See stop playing smart here the same Obiano retracted those statements following a backlash from people and you know it. You think you are clever after I showed you Alex Otti's proof of the deposit by Anambra at the time when he(Alex) was MD of Diamond Bank you have avoided disputing it you now want to base you lie on a political statement Obiano made and later retracted.

Now bloomberg said granting them that wish or demand will be a fraud...
I have agreed with both you and bloomberg...
This conversation is draining me.
I am deriving no value from it.

Up until now, you have refused to read the first page of this thread.
I mean, it is something you can read, but refuse to. You are busy looking for gist.

Bloomberg never said that giving people tax cuts or making advanced promises is fraud.
They say the Nigerian government is paying them twice as much as it is legally allowed .
Indirectly implying that the company will be receiving more than the Nigerian fiscal framework permits.
Nobody is saying that your "genius" Tinubu should not do what has never been done before, even though other governments have used the same method to get things done (but I guess we will still call Tinubu a genius and assume other people haven't done it before).

In summary, with an example:
There is a law that says you shouldn't pay anyone more than N50 to build a road. An investigative outlet now reports that the government has hired someone and spent N100 to build the same road. Indirectly meaning that the builder has gotten his N50, but we know where the other N50 will go, because it will never be in the receipts of the builder that he collected N100, since it is against the law. You are now asking me a totally irrelevant question: "If the government doesn't steal to build the road, how can the road be built?" grin grin grin What kind of a question is that? So you have reached the point where you agree that, for anything this Tinubu government does for the country, their own cut must be included. Now, go back and read the article.

The problem I have with alot of you people is pretending to know what you're doing or understand the scope of a report meanwhile you actually understand nothing of what's happening...

Now see it this way...

The Nigerian government is giving up most of what it will earn as tax revenue just to convince shell to build the platform that will cost 20b dollars that will create jobs for the masses.
It's not as if it won't receive any tax revenue but it won't be as much as it should have been if there was no tax rebate.
This means that, without the tax rebate offered to shell Corp, the government might easily lose the 20b investment promised to more tax havens like Guyana and Brazil that offers zero taxes and zero import taxes on drilling equipments and machinery that ultimately translates to zero tax on paper?

To illustrate this properly.... See it this way...

You are a business man and your business is not growing... It's falling down because of alot of factors...
People stealing your goods, your sales boys stealing from you too.... Your landlord has increased rent and you are struggling to pay your staff and other operational costs....

Now you visit your friend for a business meeting...
He promises that, he's seeing your efforts to revive your business. He pledged to invest in your business if the situation is right....

Now you go back home.... After a lot of thinking, you phone him up and say that... Hey, I will do business with you....

I know I'm supposed to make 10m naira a year from doing business with you but to convince you that I want to gain your business, instead of paying me 10m for doing business in my space, pay me 4m and keep the rest.... After all, other people you do business with find a way to give you back all the 10m they make from doing business with you but I can't offer you zero tax right now but I can lower it so you see a reason to extend your business to me.

Yes I will lose some of what I will earn as tax, but ultimately, my people get to have jobs and also you get to carry out your cooperate social responsibilities.

So what I'm doing is... Instead of taking the risk of allowing you take your business elsewhere all together and risk losing out from every corner, I choose to earn only a fraction of what I'm supposed to and create jobs for my people. Yes it's not as ideal or sweet as I want but if I were to be in a better position like USA, Canada, Sweden etc, maybe I worn have to offer any form of rebate but since I'm experiencing serious challenges, I got to do what I got to do in order to become stable economically in the future...
This is me giving out something in other to gain something... Like a trade of.....

Now my friend, if you don't understand what's happening at this point, then I can say you're beyond redemption and you are speaking based on hatred for the government of the day and not facing the economic realities of Nigeria.

If u have an alternative way of bringing shell to invest their 20b in our economy, please share.....

Take note, they can take their money to Brazil and Guyana where they will get almost zero tax... So why do business in a Nigeria that the economy is shaking at the normal rate rather than just take all the money and go to more stable economies where they can gain and make more money....

I do hope you enjoy the rest of your day

You cannot call a statement a lie when I showed you with proof what Obiano said, if you said he recanted, would it not have been appropriate for you to show me when he did?

As for Alex Otti, I asked you a simple question, was he the governor of Anambra State at anytime to confirm that Obi really left savings?

You claimed that I am trying to be clever, that is exactly what Obiano accused Obi of... it is said that Obi showed money in the bank during handover just like banks do at the end of the month when making reports but most of those money were scheduled to go out as payment for liabilities as soon as he left office. That is the same Scam Emefiele was playing with the reserve. That one was claiming reserve was 35B only for it to be exposed that just like Obi, he was being clearly in that he had pledge the reserve and the real value was around 4B.
JP Morgan's Analysis: In August 2023, JP Morgan published a report stating that Nigeria's net forex reserves were significantly lower than previously estimated, at $3.7 billion. This was due to encumbrances like FX forwards, securities lending, and currency swaps, which tied up a large portion of the gross reserves
I recall also saying perhaps Otti was deceived just like many other people were. It is disingenuous to schedule payments to go out immediately after you leave office just to make your handover note look big.

In summary:

You cannot call a statement a lie when I showed you with proof what Obiano said, if you said he recanted, would it not have been appropriate for you to show me when he did?

I am only responding to you because others may read it.
I understand that you are here to ignore the obvious and chase the shadows.

The report is not about whether the government should do any business or not.
The report is about a fraud. A fraud of over-inflation of fiscal responsibilities by the government, so that they can get kickbacks.

Instead of you talking about the whole idea of the report, which you have refused to read, you are here talking about a tax system, which you think is a new system invented by Tinubu.

This isn't about the government fiscal policy!!!

It's about bringing the shell to the table!!!!

What has the tax rebate towards shell got to do with the government fiscal policyhuh Werin concern policy and the government trying to make shell invest 20b in the economy by offering them a tax rebatehuh God!!

And now you are banking on a report without the ability to think for yourself and see through that report...

Dude why do you do this gaslighting attempt? Haaaa fear God.

As for Alex Otti, I asked you a simple question, was he the governor of Anambra State at anytime to confirm that Obi really left savings?

But he was the MD of one of the Banks where PO deposited Anambra state savings why are you being half clever?

You claimed that I am trying to be clever, that is exactly what Obiano accused Obi of... it is said that Obi showed money in the bank during handover just like banks do at the end of the month when making reports but most of those money were scheduled to go out as payment for liabilities as soon as he left office. Haaaa bros fear God how come Alex Otti stated that apart from Anambra saving at the banks he also stated Anambra funds were invested in Eurobonds which were valued at 95 billion at the time the bonds matured. The same Obiano said that he used the saving from PO to build the airport and you said it was payment for Liabilities that you cannot even describe the nature of the liabilities.

I recall also saying perhaps Otti was deceived just like many other people were. It is disingenuous to schedule payments to go out immediately after you leave office just to make your handover note look big.

You win.
You are right.
You have thought for yourself.
You even knew about the deal before the report.
Bloomberg and I are wrong.
There is no "fiscal policy."
Fiscal policy does not mean "money spending and tax issues."
Tinubu invented the tax rebate system.
Tinubu is the first Nigerian president to adopt that capital funding method.
You are very intelligent.
You read all through.

I believe that all these will end the matter now.
God bless you.

You keep talking about Otti, you still have not convinced me how the words of a bank MD carry more weight than the guy who took over from Obi.
Note that Obiano was not in opposition so that we do not claim he was playing politics. Obiano was handpicked by Obi to take over, yet he said Obi was being clever by half in his lies.

You have even added more to the amount Obi claimed to have saved, which was 75B, you have now increased it to 96B... Just continue with your lamba.

Note that I did not even even go into Soludo since he came long after.

Yes the words of a bank MD in whose bank the funds were deposited carries a lot of weight. Again you want to twist my words on 95b and 75b bro you are still learning in art of lying. What I said was PO invested funds of Anambra state in Eurobonds which at the time it matured it was worth 95b even the Nation Newspaper quoted Alex Otti who handled that transaction as MD of Diamond Bank. His words hold weight over a politician and former governor who obviously fell out with PO and tried to disparage him only to admit to everyone that he used the savings of PO to finance the building of the airport. Bros go and look for another format this one is stale.

Please go into Soludo the same man who before he was sworn in commended PO for what he did in the state. Oga go and work and stop all this lies and propaganda you are doing.

So far you have not shown me where I told a lie. Nothing I have said so far was manufactured, It is like lies means another thing to you.

Look at this for example, did I manufacture it?
Peter Obi lied on Anambra finances, Ex-ally Victor Umeh says
https://www.premiumtimesng.com/regional/ssouth-east/244653-peter-obi-lied-anambra-finances-ex-ally-victor-umeh-says.html?tztc=1

Or this: FACT CHECK: Claim that Anambra’s debt profile is over N200bn is FALSE
https://www.icirnigeria.org/fact-check-claim-that-anambras-debt-profile-is-over-n200bn-is-false/

At least this ones are not from Obiano since you are trying to downplay his role.

You wanted to increase the claimed amount from 75B to 96B, when caught pants down, you want to twist it that you meant amount at maturity, you really think I am one of your whatsapp group you throw figures to and they swallow it.

Euroboand is hardly ever higher than 5%, so how much did he invest, how long was the duration that matured to give you your 95B?

If it Eurobond, I want to believe this 95B is in USD or you want to twist it to naira?

You are still trying to twist my words 95b is the value fo the Eurobonds Anambra bought during PO's tenure at the time of maturity. Is it hard for you to understand Simple English or you want to be mischievous.
Again how do you expect Obiano who doesn't want to be overshadowed by PO's fame to talk? Definitely he will lie and the same Obiano acknowledged that he used PO's savings to build the airport.

I am not twisting anything, I am asking you to now clarify this 95B. Is it in naira or USD? Just clarify with publications or something.

Now you brought a 3rd party to say Obiano recanted, no where did Obiano or Anambra government change their position that Obi's claim to savings were either outright lies or clever by half.

Me I showed you links to where I got my own info, why not just say Governor of Taraba helped Obiano to say it was money Obi saved that he used to build the airport, why lie that Obiano later recanted without proof?

Guy stop trying to play smart you didn't ask if it was naira or dollar, you were disputing the figure from 75b to 95b stop this twisting and gaslighting.
