The recent allegation by Kenneth Okonkwo that Mr. Peter Obi is “working against Igbo presidency” is misleading, baseless, and a clear attempt at propaganda.

The facts are clear:

1. Peter Obi has consistently championed equity and power rotation
From 2023 till now, Peter Obi campaigned on the principle that power should rotate to the South-East. He made it a central message of his presidential campaign. A man fighting for Igbo presidency cannot be the same man sabotaging it.

2. Kenneth Okonkwo’s attacks are the real distraction
Instead of building unity in the South-East and across Nigeria, Kenneth Okonkwo has chosen to attack Peter Obi publicly, spread unverified claims, and create division. Attacking the most visible Igbo leader on the national stage right now only weakens the case for Igbo presidency, not strengthens it.

3. Peter Obi’s record speaks for itself
As Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi invested in education, health, and infrastructure in the South-East. As a presidential candidate, he gave the Igbo nation the loudest national voice in decades. Millions of Nigerians, including non-Igbos, now associate “Igbo presidency” with his name because he put it on the ballot.

4. Sabotage looks like this: division, lies, and personal attacks
If anyone is sabotaging Igbo presidency, it is those who are busy fighting fellow Igbo leaders in the media instead of building alliances. You cannot claim to want Igbo presidency while tearing down the one Igbo man who brought the conversation to the center of national politics.


Ndigbo need unity, strategy, and facts — not propaganda. Peter Obi remains committed to the advancement of the Igbo people and to a Nigeria where every region is treated fairly.

We urge the public to disregard Kenneth Okonkwo’s claims. They serve no purpose other than to divide us at a time when we should be speaking with one voice.

Calling names won’t change facts.

Peter Obi left APGA in 2014 and joined PDP, then Labour Party in 2022. He didn’t “betray APGA” — he moved on politically like everyone else in Nigeria does.

If supporting equity and a better Nigeria makes him a “saboteur”, then what do we call those dividing us along tribe and religion?

Peter Obi ran on competence, not tribe. He’s the reason “Igbo presidency” was even debated nationally in 2023.

If Tinubu is your choice, campaign with his achievements. Don’t tear down others to feel big.

I understand you’re passionate about your candidate. So am I.

But reducing Peter Obi to tribal insults only shows you have no argument against his ideas.

Ndigbo, Yoruba, Hausa — we all suffer the same hardship. The politicians are united in Abuja. Only citizens are fighting online by tribe.

Let’s debate issues, not insults. Nigeria needs unity, not tribal slurs.
