Tbh, the 50k was a wild lowball, which is why I explicitly told him in the DM that I knew the price was an insult but I was just shooting my shot. We all negotiate.
But that’s not why he blocked me.
He replied at 4:00 AM countering with 100k (which I was going to pay). Because I didn't reply by 12:00 noon—literally just 8 hours later because my tablet was at home—he completely lost his mind, started hurling vulgar insults about "pussy attitude," and blocked me.
Imagine a grown man running a business, having a full emotional meltdown and throwing tantrums because someone went offline for a morning. If you're that emotionally fragile over an 8-hour reply window, you shouldn't be dealing with the public.

But then, is 11 PM really an appropriate time to engage someone? Judging by the visible timeline of things; he asked for a private DM around 9 PM. He eventually reached out at 11 PM, a time when an average decent person is most likely winding down or already asleep. The seller then replied at 4 AM, only to be left hanging for another eight hours, as stated in Uziyl's post.
Yet, miraculously, the person who initiated contact at such an odd hour is the one that fits your version of what's ideal?

An appropriate time to engage someone"? It's a text negotiation—you drop a message when you are able to, and the other party replies when they are able to. It’s not a live phone call. If another buyer comes along within that window, you sell to them. It is that simple.
Imagine if I were a remote worker who works overnight shifts until 3 or 4 AM and sleeps until noon? The seller himself replied at 4 AM, so the "odd hours" argument makes zero sense anyway.
