Looking at these men

Who do you think can be called and tagged the best President Nigeria has or have after the return of democracy in 1999?

Re: Who Do You Think Is The Best Nigerian President (photo) by lookinggood:
Former President Obasanjo. Because he is the only President who made Nigeria got dept relief, while others came to jack it up.

Again, if the plan he left concerning the refineries was not change by President Yardua the money lost for the repair of those refineries wouldn't happen.

President Obasanjo worn not to put money for repairs of recent and the current administration over-ruled his advice, pump hug mount of money and where are we today on refinery? Fuel is how much?

As much as I hate to admit it, it is No.1.

He is their father, the creator of the confusion of the constitution of 1999 As Amended, the great Fela Kuti warned Nigerians about General Obasanjo.

I don't know who's the best Nigeria president but I know who's the worst.

The one with opolo eyes is the worst.

It's Obasanjo.

I want too impressed after his administration. But since he left office, no one has come close to him in statesmanship, firmness, economy, appointments, and administration in general.

The only person that might have performed well also is Yaradua. But health denied him the chance.

Whenever you see a Nigerian crying when fuel was N85 and cooking gas @N150 and singing hallelujah when the same commodity is sold for N1350 and N2700 respectively, just know that he or she is from the lunatic institute called BATist Psychiatrist.

Best and Nigerian president can't both be in the same sentence
Re: Who Do You Think Is The Best Nigerian President (photo) by tonesky(m): 6:40pm On Jul 18
Yaradua would have outperformed Obasanjo by giving Nigerians justice, egalitarian society but for death. So, the order is Obasanjo, followed by Yaradua, then Jonathan. Buhari gave birth to Nepotism and Tinubu baptised Nepotism. Tinubu would be remembered as the most corrupt president Nigeria ever had, from identity theft to certificate, to Chicago, then bought over INEC, Judiciary, decimated opposition, elevated his son above his VP, corruption personified in award of contracts, suspended a sitting governor for no reason other than benefiting from Rivers election rigging etc.
Re: Who Do You Think Is The Best Nigerian President (photo) by MightySparrow:
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, because he is trying to restructure Nigeria. That alone would put an end to so many issues about Nigeria's problems.

Resource control, self determination, zonal policing, regional integration and identity.
Imagine what SW and SE would have become if their programmes were not distrupted by federal character. The north can now sit up and stop producing troublers of the nation.

Gej remains the best .

Gej was truthful, frank and a perfect gentleman and a Democrat.
Talking to Nigerians every month end , visiting places of concern .
Our economy was booming on the right trajectory.

The world experienced two consecutive economic meltdown but Nigeria under gej and okonjo as finance minister did not feel it or understood what it was but aoc came ,the world started prospering but nigeria became a he poverty head quarters of the world. Because everyone holding political position got busy stealing .
Imagine emiefeke ,over 1000 properties he forfeited as a criminal , look at other officials, look at makami forfeiting 48 houses , nearly every one of them.

Now look at what we are seeing , ghost agencies and ministries ,
All political position are for sale . Just imagine only less than 30 % of budgets are being released

Notional budget now being worked and tailored into government officials pockets .

Crazy and unthinkable things happening .

Tinubu should just sack lots of these criminals , he should be satisfied with what he has acquired , let him focus and deliver good governance to Nigerians and make life very easy for people.
Nigeria mne are suffering and he does not see them ,he is totally cut off .
To busy for the very masses you occupy their positiond ...

He should work and reduce the pressure of US DOLLARS to naira
At least nair to dollar should be like 350 naira .

If not for Dangote refinery, naira to dollar would have been like 8000 naira .

Reduce dollar price to 350 naira abeg or even lesser

Obasanjo remains the best. Yar’adua had the highest potential and integrity to be better than OBJ but didn’t last long enough. He’s somewhat like Peter Obi.

OBJ remains the best for me because of his debt forgiveness, telecom revolution and banking sector stabilization

None of them comes close to Obj. The man performed well both as Military head of state and Civilian president.

Till tomorrow, Obj is still the best man to have ever ruled and governed Nigeria.

Tinubu and good governance in the same sentence isn’t right.

Yaradua & his successor Jonathan are the worst.

2007-2015 was a waste.

The rest deserve to be jailed even in death for introducing very dangerous and heartbreaking division and tribalism in Nigerua.

No. It is Tinubu. Nigeria needs to become a developed nation like Singapore.

Only Tinubu is bravely implementing the reforms, though punitive in the short term, that will push our nation towards developed nation status.

Tinubu is best by far. OBJ did not implement one single major reform. Neither did Yar Adua, Jonathan and Buhari.

With Tinubu, so many fundamental reforms delivered transforming Nigeria. We have the best performing stock market in the world today (fact check me) while our central bank is 2026 winner of world central bank of the year award we have never won because of the fiscal reforms of Cardoso.

Fuel subsidy removal has turned Nigeria into a huge construction site of quality infrastructure delivery because Governors, LG Chairmen etal are getting up to 300 to 400% more funding than they had before.

I might come across rude but it is not intentional. The issue is that I just don't understand how some of you guys, as adults, reason.

Do you know what it takes for nations to become developed and first world? Do you understand what we need to do to get there and you are talking about debt relief?

Access to higher education (NELFUND) to improve our human resources capacity, great infrastructure, especially transport, facilitating movement of goods and services, availability of money for political administrators to use transforming live of Nigerians.

SME proliferation, economy substantially diversified away from crude oil earnings alone, Strong Naira with truly reflective value, greater industrialisation, trading surplus with other nations of the world , greater export of good and services etc.

How many of the above did OBJ impact on as Tinubu is doing?

If we are being sincere and critical-thinking adults, who has had the greatest impact in that sense than Tinubu since 1999?

The great Jagaban!
Absolutely. It isn't even close. Tinubu is the absolute truth. The issue is that many Nigerian are ethno-religious bigots so they will deny PBAT credit for his outstanding work.

Look at the outstanding work of Tunji-Ojo, Umahi, Wike Bosun Tidjani, Festus Keyamo etal. There is hardly a leader not delivering under PBAT.

I remember visiting Ghana years ago and noting their airport e-Gates. I was depressed thinking Nigeria, so-called giant of Africa, did not have same at the time..

Tunji-Ojo has done it. Umahi nko? Super Minister delivering 8 inches quality concrete roads everywhere that will last at least 60 years.

Wike, best FCT Minister by far ever. I watched him giving a speech saying fifty major projects have been commissioned so far and 20 more will be commissioned before the end of the years.

Keyamo, brilliant dude and achiever transforming our aviation sector. Professor Muhammad Ali Pate doing well as Health Minister. So many leaders under Tinubu were selected as the best available , typical of PBAT, and are performing.

We are only arguing on Nairaland because ethno-religious sentiments and rivalry make Nigerians enemies of themselves .

Otherwise it will be obvious, given what is being delivered, Tinubu is by far the best President Nigeria has had since 1999. As a leader, it is only Awolowo I rate above PBAT but I think another four years will make Tinubu fully match or surpass all Awolowo achieved.

How much was being spent to keep it at N85 and N150 respectively? You complain there is no job, government is coming up with policies that can encourage private investment, you're still complaining. Do you think any investor would bring his money into our oil sector,if government still dictates the pump price of fuel through subsidy payment? Can any investor compete with government?
Should PBAT have continued selling Crude oil in advance to pay subsidy or brought back old forex regime?
Note: I am not saying Tinubu is perfect but certain decisions are necessary at this point.
