Indonesian Man Kills Neighbour Who Kept Asking Him Why He Was Not Married At 45 by Kingzjayzee(op): 3:16am On Jul 19

A 45-year-old man in Indonesia allegedly killed his 60-year-old neighbour after he was hurt and became annoyed by the latter’s persistence in asking him why he was not married.

Indonesian media reported that the incident took place in South Tapanuli regency, located in North Sumatra, on July 29.

The victim was a retired civil servant named Asgim Irianto, said the region’s Assistant Police Commissioner (AKP) Maria Marpaung on July 31, according to Indonesian media outlet Detik Jogja.

AKP Maria said that based on a statement provided by Mr Asgim’s wife, the attacker, Parlindungan Siregar, arrived at their home at about 8pm on July 29 wielding a piece of wood, and began attacking the victim without warning.

Mr Asgim ran out to the street, where he was pursued by Parlindungan before he was struck by a blow to the head. After he was felled, Mr Asgim was allegedly beaten further by Parlindungan.

Residents in the area eventually stopped the beating and rushed Mr Asgim to the hospital, but he died before reaching, said AKP Maria

According to AKP Maria, Parlindungan said during questioning by police that he was determined to beat Mr Asgim to death because he was hurt by how often his neighbour asked him, in jest, why he was not married.

Prior to the fatal attack, the two neighbours reportedly also had arguments when the chickens they respectively owned went to the other’s coop, reported Detik Jogja.

First rule is to avoid any personal relationships with your neighbors when new to an area. Don't go beyond greeting. You marry sef, they will womb-watch your spouse and start asking useless questions or making funny insinuations. It's so irritating.
He should have given him a very stern warning or report him to the authorities for constant harassment or relocate entirely.

And for the neighbor,I won't say he got what he deserved, but sometimes it is wise to mind your own business.
I remembered one short story we were told when we were young about tortoise 🐢 and his grandson.
His grandson asked him:grandpa you are the only one that have lived longest in our town, can you tell me the secret, and the tortoise reply was:I always mind my own business,I don't poke nose into matters that doesn't concern me.

I am older than him and i am not interested in children,marriage or any form of relationship.

am almost 40 and don't even have girlfriend yet... People can say whatever they liked I don't care, when it's time I will do wetin dey my mind. Not people putting pressure on me or so. A cousin did introduction last year, the babe leave am this year, not even upto 2month she gets married. Most of those ladies of nowadays don't think at all. May we not settle with the wrong person.
